"Loved the location, friendly staff and the restaurant was great. Especially liked. The helpful and friendly attitude of the staff member when we had breakfast. As we’re traveling the South island we chose the cheapest room which was definitely value for money. Clean and had everything we needed. Even though it was roadside it didn’t seem noisey. I feel we should have paid for a Seaview room though and we would have enjoyed the stay more."

"We stayed w nights in the miners cottage and it was absolutely superb for our needs. Had our kids visit and play cards one evening and the other night we just blobbed out. Nice and quiet, and well appointed. The cottage had everything we needed and the meal we had in the bar after 6 hours driving was damned good. The service was fab and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Will happily stay there again."

"The owner is helpful, offers to help drying our clothes if we need to go out. He has also shared where New World is and where to get food nearby. The king size bed was dented in the middle but was somehow fixed after housekeeping the next day. Thank you. Hot showers were enough for 3 persons and not the 4th person :( Overall we had a good stay. Rooms are facing the back and quiet"
