The room was spacious and clean and the location is great. The staff was really helpful. The room had no aircondition and we couldn't keep the balcony door open at night because the balcony was shared with next door room.

The outside of the building is a stark contrast to the inside of the building, which was a relief. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing but the food was very disappointing. It was the worst steak my husband said he has ever had. He is an ex-chef. Both of our meals were warm-cold. The male restaurant staff member was not very friendly and uniform was scruffy. Heating the plates and ensuring food arrives hot would go a long way to improving things.

More basic rooms with no aircon & a pedestal fan and was very hot when arriving in the afternoon with the sun streaming through the glass. Has heating though for the colder months. Bathroom could do with a refurb. Car park next to the building was open to the roadside area so best not to leave any visible belongings in vehicles. Restaurant for breakfast & dinner was adequate.

Great location! Stayed here for 1 night after catching transalpine train from Christchurch. It’s walking distance to various restaurants and cafes plus has on site car parking. Check in was quick and staff were helpful with recommendations.
