"I would not recommend this hotel.
During our stay in May 2026, the sofa bed in our room collapsed in the middle of the night while my son was sleeping on it under normal use. This created a serious safety concern and significantly disrupted our stay. Photos of the broken sofa bed are attached.
The hotel acknowledged the incident and agreed to provide CHF 150 in compensation. Because the reservation was made through Expedia, the hotel stated that it could not refund my credit card directly and requested my banking information instead, which I promptly provided.
More than three weeks passed without any payment despite multiple follow-up emails. Management repeatedly indicated that the compensation would be processed, yet no payment was received and communication became increasingly limited. I ultimately obtained a refund through Expedia.
Had the hotel informed me from the beginning that Expedia was the appropriate channel for resolving the matter, it would have saved weeks of unnecessary waiting and repeated follow-up requests. The hotel did not respond to my emails at the end.
Problems can happen at any hotel, but clear communication and follow-through are important. Based on both the incident and the way it was handled afterward, I cannot recommend this hotel."
