Um lugar cheio de história e que foi berço de Portugal. Não é à toa que em um pedaço da muralha original tem os dizeres “Aqui nasceu Portugal”. The Castle of Guimarães began with a monastery built by Mumadona Dias in the 10th century, before, therefore, the formation of Portugal. As the attacks of the Moors were frequent they decided to build a wall to protect the community and the monks that lived inside. It was this fort that gave origin to the Castle of Guimarães. Later, in the twelfth century, it was in this castle that Dom Afonso Henriques was born. Some years after he would become the first king of Portugal. With the lack of use the castle was degrading. Recently it was recovered and classified as National Monument. It is also considered World Heritage by UNESCO. A place full of history and that was cradle of Portugal. It is no wonder that in a piece of the original wall has the words "Here was born Portugal".

Superb location very close to the historic centre. Well equipped apartment and I especially loved being able to use my Netflix and Amazon accounts on the tv after a hard day's sightseeing.

I had a very pleasant stay here during my trip to Portugal. The space was very clean, comfortable, and felt safe throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the amenities provided — there was a dishwasher and a washing machine with laundry pods available, which was incredibly convenient because I was able to do my laundry during my trip. The kitchen also had plates, glasses, and pots available for use. The only small downside was that there were no utensils, but this was a very minor issue compared to everything else the place offered. It was also in walking distance to a lot of places. Overall, the apartment was well maintained, good value for the money, and truly felt like a home away from home. I really enjoyed my time here and would happily stay again.

Apartamento en finca auténtica portuguesa reformado con muchisimo gusto. El.anfitrión es encantador, pendiente de todas las necesidades que se tenga. Lo único que agobia un poco es que la habitacion sea totalmente interior. No hay ascensor.

El piso está súper bien. Con dos habitaciones. Una de ellas con baño privativo. Todo muy limpio y cómodo. Tiene cafetera y todas las comodidades. Volveremos sin duda. Algo que apuntar. Es un segundo sin ascensor pero nuestras maletas no pesaban.

Situation toute proche du centre ville, très calme et super propre et beau. Un rideau complètement occultant pour la nuit et cela aurait été parfait (je suis sûrement plus sensible que d'autres à ce sujet). Je recommande a 100% !
