"The pool for adults was too small, especially compared to the main pool. It was often infested by noisy kids. Overall, this place is best suited for young families. Those who wish to enjoy quiet and calm enviroment should go somewhere else. Food was average for my liking (mediteranian diet) - including breakfests and a few restaurants."

"Beautiful island, great hotel, fantastic restaurant, helpful & friendly staff. I can’t praise this place highly enough. TBH the maintenance is slightly behind the curve (they had to fix the lights and hot water, but did so promptly). But if it was five star perfection the cost would reflect that."

The breathtaking rainforest setting, beautiful beach, excellent dining and wonderful spa are all remarkable, but what truly distinguishes The Datai is the extraordinary level of hospitality. We are especially grateful to the General Manager, whose personal attention, generosity and genuine care made our stay incredibly special. Taking the time to meet with us personally and ensuring that we felt truly welcomed and valued reflected an exceptional level of hospitality and leadership. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the management team and the wonderful team members at the Nature Centre and Spa. Their warmth, professionalism and thoughtful attention added greatly to our experience. Our thanks extend to everyone we encountered, including housekeeping, concierge, restaurants, transportation, spa and activity teams. Throughout our stay, we consistently experienced kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality. We arrived expecting a beautiful luxury resort, but left with wonderful memories and genuine affection for The Datai and its people. It is a truly special place, and we sincerely hope to return. "All staff friendly and attentive. Amazing breakfast with great selection to cater for all tastes. Beautiful grounds, quiet and location, note the property has a beautiful beach view but not for swimming. 6 mins drive from airport, 15 mins from skyride attraction and 20 mins pentai chaning ( main beach area). We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights."

"Brilliant hotel, excellent value and great stay. The rooms are nicely maintained and laid out, the roof top pool is great. Access to a full service gym is a great perk and the breakfast buffet is absolutely elite. Seriously, schedule an hour for breakfast to take advantage. Cannot recommend enough."

"A great place to spend time, a good swimming pool, and a very good outdoor BBQ area on the beach. The staff are very friendly and willing to help with anything you need. Subra I asked twice how to buy charcoal and sugar , and he went and got it himself. This made my stay very comfortable. Thank you, Subra. 👍🌺👍"
