I was driving from Toronto through Quebec, New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia and stayed at several motels along the way, the Lake City Motel was the worst place I had ever stayed in, unfortunately it was for two nights.
The bottom of the box spring on one bed was completely ripped and hanging out on the floor, neither of the box springs were covered, they were exposed and stained. The beige blankets were completely moth eaten and full of holes and cuts. When we moved those the bedsheets had a large blue ink stain as well as a yellow one, no idea what that was. In the middle of the night one of the headboards came off the wall and we had to put it back on. I went to put something in the desk drawer, the drawer front wasnโt attached to the rest of the drawer. The tap in the bathroom was not properly attached to the sink and would move around when you tried to use it. There was a new toilet seat installed, however, it was a long oval shaped on a smaller round toilet, so the seat actually stuck out three inches in front of the toilet and the front of the bowl was in the seat opening. The tub was rusty and they had tried to cover it up with silicone sealant. The shower curtain rail was completely rusted. There was plenty of hot water but I did not shower until I got to my next hotel in Montreal.
