A hotel with history

I can see that in its day, this hotel would have been extravagant, posh and very special. Now you still get that feeling in the communal areas. The bedrooms however are a bit tired. Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfy but we missed having sockets and reading lights by the bed and the duvet was a bit too small for 2 people. Breakfast was delish and parking across the road no problem.

Not a good experience !!!

It's old hotel that definitely need renovation !!! old furniture that was not even comfortable!!! Simple breakfast with burned or uncooked bacon,salty scrambled egg that the chef didn't even taste it before serving it !!! Generally not what you expect from Best Western hotel !!!

Nice but noisy!

Nice hotel polite staff and good breakfast (but VERY busy at 06.30 I had to leave without any!) building work was going on and so ask for a room at the front (note this is not an option for disabled travelers all rooms with showers/accessible rooms are at the back)

Overall this property was just ok. I booked through Expedia and when we arrived we had a very very difficult time trying to get a room. The host does NOT speak English, even though the listing showed that she did. The listing also listed a tub, which it did not have. We were told that we could not get breakfast since we didn’t book in advance enough (but ended up being offered breakfast the next morning). There was not air conditioning even though it specified it had one and no window coverings. The bed faced a window that could look into other windows from a home next door. Very awkward. The stay was ok and we did appreciate the uniqueness of it but the experience trying to get into a room overshadowed the experience. I felt as though the listing was false advertisement.
