Pros - Beautiful hotel, right on the border of Sweden and Finland. The hotel itself is like a museum, close to the northern most ikea in the world and a shopping mall, the restaurant in the hotel is very delicious as well. Cons - Breakfast is not too good, beds are not comfortable

All public areas are amazingly beatiful and attractive. Lot of nice details and decorations. Rooms on the other hand are not so special and one could call them modest. Excellent breakfast.

Beautiful hotel by the border

It was cold in my room. However, the hotel is beautiful. Classic style, wonderful chandeliers, ball room... I loved it!

Beautiful hotel with lots of history. Our room was really small for two people. Personnel was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Bathroom had a sewer smell every now and then.

Restaurant closed. No information about this online. No smart tv as last time we were here. No information about this either. In a small, quite town like Haparanda, you need this to get through the evening. Nothing else to do. Otherwise, lovely staff, beautiful building!

Such an amazing feel to be back in history!! The decoration and vibe there was great to me being a visitor of a small town. And the staff are amazing too and dedicated to their job. Every single receptionist was suave and eager to help out. I checked in late and the guy was still around to help me go in, and they were also accommodating to me being around and use the facility even after checking out. The place is clean, spacious and nice sauna. It was snowy and did not have a chance to really explore town but it looked beautiful nonetheless. Open buffet for breakfast but really good. I can’t say anything bad about the place.

Very Old World style and very Swedish. Liked it very much, keep it that way. Breakfast had 'everything' except something was missing all the time. On 1st round bacon was not there, when i went to get more coffee, there was none. Capacity problem in the kitchen ?

På tur hjem tok vi ett opphold på Stadshotellet, har gjort det før. Ett fantastisk hotell med mye historie. Må ses! Rommene er enkle med gode senger. Frokosten er bra! Kommer nok igjen. Hyggelig resepsjonist tok i mot oss 👍

Flott hotell i Haparanda. Ble tatt i mot av en hyggelig resepsjonist og ett ekstra pluss var restauranten på hotellet. Helt nydelig mat. Frokosten var også kjempe bra.

Dåliga nerlegade sängar, dåligt städat, dammigt överallt och tuggade tuggummin på golvet. Badrummet väldigt slitet, toalettstolen hade sett bättre dar och kaklet i duschen var väldit skitigt, svart med smuts runt ventilationen. Luften stod stilla men tack vare att fönstren gick öppna funkade det någorlunda. Långt och gå till och från rummet med instruktion på medföljande plastad lapp, först upp och sedan

Remonttia odotellessa sinänsä historiallinen hieno rakennus, mutta ei täytä tämänpäivän kriteereitä. Ilmastointi tulo ja poisto näytti olevan, mutta kummastakaan ei ilma liiku. Helteet olivat toki poikkeukselliset. Pitkän matkan jälkeen piti saada nukkua, mutta ei onnistunut kun huone suoraan pubin ulkoalueen yläpuolella. Helteen vuoksi oli pakko kuitenkin pitää ikkunoita auki ja tupakansavu jota ei voi sietää tuli sisälle.

Allt bra förutom att det var alldeles för varmt och dålig ventilation i korridorerna och på rummet. Vi hade fönstret öppet och två fläktar igång, men ändå väldigt varmt

Trevligt gammalt hotell, med anor

Även om det var varmt ute och då även inne hjälpte personalen med råd om hur vi skulle få svalka på rummet. Även om alla andra ställen i stan var stängda hjälpte personalen med att vi kunde få avskildhet för samtal och kalla drycker. Stor eloge till all personal.
