Great location. Convenient to Harpers Ferry parks. Pub on site. Free parking. Basic accomodations. Older but clean. No overhead lighting - a lot of lamps -room was dark. Friendly front desk staff. Lacking: bar soap in rooms. No bottled water, Breakfast buffet sub par - didnt have much of the basics that were labelled on the service bar (no sugar, half and half, boiled eggs, fruit). Breakfast staff were as frustrated as visitors.

The first night's sleep was interrupted by someone trying to open our hotel door at 2:30pm. Someone had been given "our" room with their own key card. This was not a thief who tried to sneak in. The safety lock was violently slammed by a surprised person who thought he/she was opening her/his own door. The next night was much worse. There were about 30 teenagers on a retreat who stayed up all night "slamming" doors. The doors at this hotel make the loudest noise of any hotel in history. They are not "dampered" as some newer hotels are. Other than the total lack of sleep, the hotel was great.

Very convenient location to Harpers Ferry park. Liked the restaurant attached. Employees are friendly and helpful.The hotel is a little rundown, the carpet def could use replacement but everything was in working order. The biscuits at breakfast were very tasty.

The heater didn’t work; the fan also sounded like a freight train. Water pressure in shower was horrible and bathtub didn’t drain so you stood in a foot of dirty water. The wifi is absolutely horrible.

This motel is average staying experience. I stay here because they have the car charger for electric cars. It is usually very clean. I love the attached restraint/ bar. The food is good there.

Selected this hotel for the pool only to arrive and its closed. Then given our first room and it either wasnt cleaned or someone was currently checked in. Went to the desk was given a new room and that one was good. Nice breakfast set up.

I like that I called and was able to check in early on Tuesday at 1:00. The pool was being serviced and was told on Thursday it would be done by end of day and checked out on Saturday and still not inservice

Nice but NO POOL
Very nice stay. Room was fine. Breakfast was good. ONLY ISSUE - POOL IS CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE AND HAS BEEN FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS. My son was so disappointed. I wish that was made clear in the listing as we would have chosen a different hotel.

Price is right.
Hotel is in a convenient location and reasonably priced. Overall, it does look aged. The food in the adjoining restaurant, White Horse, has declined since our last visit. On the up side, the breakfast buffet has many options and the hotel staff is friendly and welcoming.

Convenience is king
Incredibly convenient location to everything. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Back and forth if we could bring a dog into the breakfast area but no big deal. We asked to switch rooms which they did — only complaint really is the entrance door to the building 2 — the closer is shot so it slams shut which was really loud for the room directly next to it. They moved us upstairs which was drastically better! Will definitely stay again very affordable!!! Dog friendly which is key!!!!

We booked this hotel for a long weekend with the intent for the kids to swim. Upon arrival we learned the pool was down for big maintenance. So we were left with nothong to do. Our fridge froze all of our food solid. Front desk said maintenance would look, they did not. All our food was inedible. Beds are very uncomfortable. Hallway noise enters room. Cannot open curtains unless tou want the whole parking lot looking in on you. Breakfast was fine. No complaints. Restaraunt was okay. They were out of a lot of stuff, some food was reused from the free breakfast. Would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The indoor pool area had way too many dead bugs laying around. There were few ones moving around. Also, the wicker pool chairs have mold on them. The heat in my room wasn't working, but the staff did get my daughter and I another room...thank you. The lady working in the dining area for breakfast refilled the milk jug, but gave it back to me with milk running and dripping down the outside of the jug...not cool. All she had to do is what I did...wipe it clean before handed it back to me. Also, she should of been wearing gloves and changing them out after use. When I gave her the empty jug, she walk over right after washing dishes and didn't wash her hands. I saw her put out a tray of bread/bagels w/o gloves. So, I don't think she ever washes her hands...just cross contaminating. She should of been gloves and washing her hands, especially because she was the only person working this morning. So, she washing dishes, grabbing empty food trays and the milk jug, bringing out food and whatever else I couldn't see. Beds and pillows were comfy.
