“The property was very quiet. There weren't any other guests. I would like to come back in summer because port Broughton is a nice town, not far from Adelaide. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. My only suggestion is to allow people to book for one night, not to have to book for 2 nights minimum. We eventually got one night only but it would have been better if we could have done that in the first instance, because the other rooms were empty. ”

“Beautiful area and little touches make this a 5 star property. Potbelly stove and plenty of firewood made for a very cosy cottage on a cold night. 5 min drive to Watervale pub and plenty of wineries.”

“Awesome. Traditional pub stay. Room was spartan but very comfortable. Excellent meal in the evening and drinks at 1970s prices. And cost was half of what I paid up the Track to stay in a ‘donga’. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When next in Burra, I’ll definitely be staying at the Royal Exchange Hotel. (Thanks, Harrison)”
