โThe hotel is central to all of the Mystic attractions. Check in was quick and courteous and the rooms were well appointed, clean and nice and cool after checking in on a hot summer day ! โ
โBed was super comfortable, a nice amount of space in the room, nice front desk staff, breakfast was plentiful and good. I appreciated how close hotel was to Olde Mystic, it is down a fairly steep hill but we walked it easily. We enjoyed dinner at Jealous Monk, pretty outside seating and friendly waitstaff. โ
โI have been coming to this hotel for the last 2 years. Few times a year. Very nice staff very convenient location and the pool is great! The coffee is really good too. I do wish there was a microwave in the room. โ
โIt was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay. โ
โWonderful stay at the Whalers Inn! Helpful, communicative and friendly staff in all areas. Food was delicious at on-site restaurant, and there were many great food/shopping options within a walkable distance as well. Loved the views from the lobby porch rocking chairs and cute array of gifts in shop.โ
โCould use vacuuming in hallways and stairwells. The outside needs a good landscaper pruning bushes, etc. โ Touching up areas needing repair. -/ The room was clean, staff was nice. Great stayโ
โEverything was good EXCEPT the TV service totally is horrible! The staff had to bring a new tv but the service they have in the rooms IS TERRIBLE!โ
โSuch a hidden gem! Loved the view and peacefulness of the property. The unit was decorated and stocked perfectly. Very spacious. My son loved seeing the train behind the property go by. Enjoyed our stay with our two young children and will return next year. โ
โWe were greeted by host as soon as well drove in. The place was clean, smelled clean. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds. Very close to Foxwoods. The bed was great, comfy. Definitely will be back.โ
โEverything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experienceโ
