“I booked this cottage at fairly short notice We were attending an event nearby and so booked only one night but it is beautifully situated and the cottage was very nice, so I would happily have stayed longer. “Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay”

“Let's start with the good - the hotel has been restored to a decent level. The furnishings are nice and the rooms are lovely. They should be lovely because this hotel is supposed to be five star and they are charging well above the standard rate. Unfortunately this is where the good ends...the staff are not well trained and not attentive to hotel guests. When we arrived reception, staff were engaged in a private conversation before attending to guests. Soon after we arrived there was a long...
