Find Hotel Wedding Venues in Harz

First off: The staff was phenomenal! From the front desk, to the restaurant (thanks for preparing my complimentary Tiramisu at 10:45pm!), to the cleaning crew, they were all amazing. The hotel has the best location given that is is right on the Markplatz. Easy walk to explore the town. Added bonus is the parking onsite for 10 Euros a day. The room was bigger than I needed it to be, since it was over two stories. But it was very clean and pretty modern. Very comfortable bedding. Be aware that...

Wow location, great staff.

This is my 16th trip to Germany. The Torfhaus Resort rates as one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The location is perfect for hiking, biking, sightseeing or just relaxing. It is in the forest, but close to Altenau, Braunlage and other larger communities. The cottages are in excellent shape with the most modern appliances. Staff is very professional and always on duty. We also used the fitness room and were pleased with the up-to-date equipment. Most important---my wife...

Breakfast was good. Only complaint was walking up the hill

Great, simple getaway spot - the staff is especially friendly and really made the stay memorable. Breakfast buffet is delicious.

good hotel, good rooms, ideal location, food also good.

Very nice place just on the edge of a nature reserve. A stream just outside of the room and very nice surroundings.

Great for an older hotel with lots of history.

A beautiful renovated castle in the Hartz mountains. I chose the hotel for it's location. The staff were very nice, the room was small however was clean, the restaurant dinner was excellent, a large buffet breakfast.

It’s nice, comfortable, friendly and well functioning hotel.

Really great spa and pool, room, and food. Some important details: no spa admission after 8 pm, it reopens at 10 in the morning. Restaurant kitchen closes after 8 pm too, but they still serve drinks and charcuterie. Some staff spoke English and it was helpful because the receptionist did not. Also the credit card machine at the reception wouldn't process Hotels.com charges in dollars (but the restaurant's card reader can do it)

Very nice place !

Very nice hotel a little difficult to locate through GPS. Breakfast was great. The bar was great. The outdoor area is very nice.

Clean, spacious room with amazing view up the street and Werningerode Schloss so very close upon the hill. V good breakfast and a lovely small sauna you can reserve a time for private use. We appreciated a break from the larger city hotels in Hamburg and Berlin to stay in a small cozy bnb style environment. You can step right out the door to shopping and food. The staff was v sweet and we wished we had more time here. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful place to relax. However don't expect any night life. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. I loved it.
