โThis is a 100 yr old property that has been updated but a while ago. The rooms are small but the owner/staff was excellent and the stay was enjoyable. They included a made to order breakfast. Peterlee is a little out of the way but matched where we were going. Just stayed one night.โ
โWe recently stayed at The Whitehouse Hotel in Peterlee as a group of five, and it was an absolute delight. The rooms were spotless, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortableโjust what we needed for a relaxing stay.
Although we hadnโt pre-booked breakfast for all five of us the night before, the staff were more than happy to accommodate us on the day without any fuss, which we really appreciated. That kind of flexibility and friendliness made a big difference.

We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. Iโm not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.

โFabulous hotel. Only tricky bit was finding the correct place to park but after that us was all good! Lovely hotel, it was quiet when I stayed, big windows, luxury feel, fab bed, huge TV and lovely bathroom etc. Restaurant looks great (but didnโt have time to try) and the bar with sports screen. Spacious, modern comfort. Would be very happy to return. Value for money. Right at the football ground and very close to the wonderful Sheepfold Stables for food/drink. โOn entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really canโt fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 โ
