The staff at the hotel were amazing, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they ensured our stay was perfect. I will definitely be returning. The hotel is in a quiet area and only a 15 minute walk to the beach with lots of restaurants and bars

This is a lovely small hotel with fabulous views of the countryside and sea. We spent a week here and chose a deluxe suite which had a bedroom and a separate living room with a dual aspect balcony directly overlooking the sea. The beach is about 15 minute walk away and the area is very quiet. If you want rest and relaxation this is for you. The hotel is made up of several blocks of apartment type rooms with their own front door. There is a lovely pool and the grounds are well maintained. As in other reviews we found the breakfasts amazing, filled with local produce and home baking. Most other residents had car rentals but we got the local bus into Heraklion which stops outside the hotel four times a day. The staff are really friendly and helpful and left us vases of flowers like jasmine from the grounds which we really appreciated. We had a lovely relaxing break and I definitely recommend this hotel.

Nous avons très bien été accueillis dans cet hôtel qui est où nous avons passé 9 jours. Le personnel a été vraiment à l'écoute et très agréable tout le long du séjour, de la réception au personnel de la restauration. Le village est près de deux plages, dont une plus pratique pour les familles avec enfants en bas âge; très proche d'un petit supermarché qui propose de tout. Nous y avons passé un très bon séjour, merci.

This beautiful hotel is situated in an excellent location overlooking the sea, just 25 mins drive from Heraklion airport. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and all of them work extremely hard to cater to their guests every need. Apart from the tranquillity and the amazing views, the best thing about this hotel is the fact that it has just the right number of rooms to provide its guests with the space needed to enjoy it without ever feeling overcrowded. You'll never struggle to get a sunbed during the day or a table for dinner, even during peak season. I would definitely recommend the Pela Mare to anyone visiting the area.

We just stayed here a few weeks ago, the day after the worst storms that Crete had seen in 40 years (that were centred over the nearby village). The hotel is lovely, well maintained and clean, with decent facilities for a small hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food in the little restaurant by the pool was very nice and had some good local options. We had bed and breakfast and there were some good options for breakfast, with a bit of variety. We strolled into town most nights for an evening meal and there is a good selection of places on the seafront to choose from - although all those restaurants by the beach have very similar menus, whereas the hotel's menu was a bit different. They were all nice though. It is about half an hour by car driving to Heraklion, and because the weather was not great we also took in a few other sites such as Zeus caves, Spinalonga and Knossos which were about 40m to 1h15m away. Would stay at this hotel again.

Everything was good except one thing,,,,,,, They don’t provide a shuttle!! If you want to go to the beach or eat you have to pay 10 euros each way! We paid 40 each day. They said you can walk but in my opinion is dangerous beco use the street is borrow and curves. Giorgo is very nice and help with all the questions and tours.

The roads here are typical of the Greek islands and while it is true that we lack sidewalks we try our best to convince the local authorities to built some every year. However this is something that it is out of our immediate control. We will keep trying to improve our rendered services as well as the local area whenever we are given the chance and we are very happy to read that this did not affect your overall impression of the hotel. We absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Pela Mare. What a hidden gem. The views from the hotel are stunning and can be enjoyed from your balcony or the pool. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was surprisingly good and included hot options. The cocktails were really excellent! Restaurant food pretty good. The only downside was the immediate area, Agia Pelagia wasn’t a great place with a very small, crowded beach with the restaurants and bars right on top of it. We chose to spend most of our time at the hotel since it was so lovely. We had a family suite which was perfect for us and 2 children (8 and 6). I would definitely recommend staying here and using as a base to travel around or for a short stay.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Location, staff, room and everything else was just perfect. Plenty of parking if you are driving in Crete, staff was super helpful with all of our inquires and pool was just perfect. The hotel was busy but it always seemed quiet at the same time which was great because you were able to properly relax without being over "too crowded". The hotel is easy access to the motorway, located at the top of a hill overlooking Agia Pelagia so the view was just absolutely amazing where ever you turn. Highly recommend this place - you will not regret this!

We had a wonderful 4 days on the beautiful and welcoming island of Crete. Pela Mare hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the food was delicious, and the price was reasonable. We loved everything about this place. The view from our balcony was amazing. We will be back for sure and we miss it already.

The hotel was mainly empty, but they gave us a place with the smallest balcony that really could fit only one comfortably, and I had paid extra for upgraded panoramic view. There were columns obstructing view. They had a couple espresso pods when we arrived, and when I asked why we didnt get more, I was told we had to pay for more. The clothes hanger was broken. But the breakfast was decent, and the view was really nice.

Highly recommended, it has a great sunrise view.
Our stay was amazing, the hotel is conveniently located to multiple tourist sites. Plus it’s only a 10 minute walk down to the seaside village.

Personnel très agréable, accueillant et serviable. Tout est mis en place pour passer un bon séjour. Bar/restaurant ouvert toute la journée et le soir au bord de la piscine, avec un service de qualité. Les chambres sont bien et possèdent une vue magnifique sur la mer. Les plages et autres restaurants sont accessibles à environ 15 mn à pied.

amazing holiday
We spent a week at Pela Mare and had a fantastic stay !!! Antonis and his staff could not have offered better customer service and were there to answer every question and help where needed. Gorgios was extremely helpful and welcoming, he always greeted us with a smile! He also made sure we had breakfast to take with us early on our day trip. Ilias made us amazing drinks at the bar and had top notch service. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing and beautiful holiday :)
