The property was in a location that was difficult to reach by public transportation due to the lack of sidewalks. The lobby was nice but the room needed updating and didn’t have any amenities except for mounted shower gel & hair products. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The staff was efficient and some people were very helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at Sofia's Hotel. It's incredibly convenient, located just a 10-minute walk from the airport. You can also take Bus #6 for only €1–2, which drops you off very close to the hotel. I chose to walk, and it was an easy, pleasant walk. The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions. The hotel has a nice pool and an on-site restaurant, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, and the price was excellent for an overnight stay. If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and convenient hotel near the airport, I highly recommend Sofia's Hotel.

Great little hotel if you're looking for somewhere affordable to stay near Heraklion airport. You are not downtown at all, but there is a more commercial street close by (few minutes by foot) with restaurants, and a few basic necessity shops. Great pool and patio, quiet, basically residential neighbourhood, super nice staff (hello Maria!) and, as mentioned, about 5 minutes by taxi from the airport (be prepared to hear planes take-off, but rooms are very well sound insulated).
