"The renovated rooms were great. The rooms appeared to be clean. The lobby and seating area downstairs were amazing. The hotel has the best coffee and also offer the most amazing cookies each afternoon. The pool area concerned me a bit since you did not need to use your room key to access the gated area and it appears that anyone (including young children) can access the pool area. It did not appear to be very safe in that aspect. The hotel is situated in a run down area and there were random people who seemed to just wander in for one reason or another. The staff always handled each situation appropriately and professionally. There were a couple of evenings where there was no one stationed at the front desk when people needed something. Overall, it was a great stay and the staff was super nice."
