โWe wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didnโt disappoint us.
There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional.
The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too.
There are buses every five minutes just outside that took us to the Tsunami museum one day and Galle Fort another for about 50p each, each way. Great fun and...

โFor us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing. โThe owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. โ

โHikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty especially during peak usage but the view, the sea, sun and sand make up for it. Food service maybe...
โReally enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Staff were really really nice and helpful!! Very pleasant to talk to!! Modern and clean!! Small balcony! Very central on the Main Street! About 10 minutes walk to beach! Only downside is that there is no bar! In saying that there are plenty of places nearby that have beer! Breakfast was excellent!! Would definitely stay here again โ
