good location. City walk have a lot restaurants and shopping.

The hotel is deceptively larger than expected when you look at it from outside. Once you are inside it opens up and they have their own bakery; which was great for quick breakfast, midday or afternoon snacks and for grabbing fresh coffee, hot or cold. The staff were very friendly and spoke reasonable English, certainly proficient enough to deal with most questions which was very helpful. The hotel was very clean and modern looking inside and the room layout was good. It’s close to a busy road, but very quiet inside. Personally I wish I had booked a larger 2bed room as it felt small to me once we unloaded our bags, however, the room had good facilities and felt new. The hotel is near a bus route so you can get from Kyoto train station or into other parts using buses, however, if the place is within 20mins walk, then walk it as will be easier. We used taxis more than expected but was easy to get to other parts of the city from the hotel given its location. I would recommend the hotel for couples or families and would happily rebook there upon another trip to Kyoto
