Great family stay
A relaxing stay for the entire family with great service and well maintained gardens. The staff are always willing to help which is great.

The meals served from the restaurant are absolutely fantastic! The dinners and breakfast... so so yummy. The rooms are comfortable and the lounge and bar area was great to uniwnd from the game drive. Guide Israel was phenomenal...

Vacay at Hluhluwe
The venue was overall ok - not outstanding but comfortable. Cleanliness needs to be improved in the chalets and the supply of basics such as toilet paper need to be replenished daily. The breakfast was excellent, the buffet dinners did not wow my family. The boma and Zulu dance was fantastic.

weekend from hell
where do I begin, by far my worst accommodation experience to date. Front desk staff messed up my booking and I ended up making 3 separate payments for a two night stay. Staff seemed unwilling to fulfil requests, kitcken and the bar had a limited items on their menu and the hotel ran out of ice both nights I was there.

New Year's Eve family vacation
I visited this hotel on 31 Dec 2021 with family. I was very impressed with the facility and cleanliness and staff efficiency. It is indeed a facility suitable for complete relaxation of the entire family with their children friendly facilities to play.

Disappointed - Restless and uncomfortable stay
The staff are friendly, that's about it. The room had a few mosquitoes on arrival which we had to go around hunting and spraying in conjunction with other bugs. We found a huge spider in the room as well. The bath/toilet was okay but it looked like it needed a thorough cleaning. If you like a hot shower after a full day, don't get your hopes up. The AC would just make a constant loud rattle. There is a little advert to request pillows of your choice, after the first restless night we requested for better pillows. The staff tried to help but apparently the manager or whoever had the keys to the room with the pillows locked it and left. That's quite pointless considering it is a hotel. There were guests partying and making racket through to 5 A.M. This happened on 2 nights. None of the hotel staff attempted to solve the issue even though the guests were running through the corridors. Our 3 night stay was just restless. The food from the restaurant was not anything to talk about. Just satisfactory. Cutlery was not cleaned properly. The pictures of the room look better than it actually is. Would never go back here again.

The hotel was well-situated on the main road halfway between maputo and Pietermaritzburg, which was exactly what we needed! The morning game drive was beautiful, though it is 15 min to the park entrance. Room was fine, though the AC made a lot of noise. Breakfast was so so.

The rondavel was very cute & great space to relax
We stayed in the rondavel. Lovely space, we had a fabulous time. We did stay over the Christmas period, and there were taxi's blaring music at 2am in the morning from the petrol station down the road. It's unfortunate that people are so inconsiderate, not the hotels fault, but still irritating that it's that noisy that we were kept awake all nights we were there. Also, if you're looking for quiet time to relax by the pool, that's not possible as it's always full of screaming children. Bring earphones and music to drown it out :) Besides that, we did really like the accom and breakfast was fantastic.

It’s a great hotel, but it’s getting older and I dont see they are doing anything to upgrade it. Food used to be good, but the last couple of times has not been acceptable. The prices are to high compared to todays standard. Lots of new great cheap lodges and b&b’s in the area, so watch out....

convenient enroute to KRUGER or Hluhluwe reserve
Very convenient if goi g to Hluhluwe game reserve - just 15 minutes away. Currently being refurbished - and will be nice when finished. Pleasant pool area and gardens to relax in. Ate decent dinner in a la Carter section instead of the buffet offered. Have a tribal dance show which all the foreign visitors enjoyed.

Situation proche de la réserve d’Hluluwe-Umfolozi
Bon accueil. Nous avons séjourné dans une rondavelle. Très bon choix en famille car la maison est spacieuse et confortable. Le wifi est à améliorer: moyen dans le petit salon proche de la réception et quasi inexistant dans la maison. Nous avons bien mangé au restaurant. Il y a un petit magasin de souvenirs. Supermarché près de l’hôtel. Proche de la réserve d’Hluluwe-Umfolozi où nous avons vu de nombreux animaux. Le soir, animation sympathique avec des chants et des danses autour d’un feu.

Et fint sted med udenærkede faciliteter, god beliggenhed til Safari parken Gode mennesker og fin service. Udendørs arealerne kunne optimeres lidt med beplantning og evt. Fliser visse steder. Byen er ikke charmerende. Alt i alt et fint ophold til en fornuftig pris.

Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk am Ende eines sehr langen Ganges, was zur Folge hatte, das bis dorthin die WIFI-Verbindung nicht ausreichte. Im Zimmer liegt eine Mappe, worin steht, dass WIFI im ganzen Haus möglich ist und die Dame an der Rezeption sagte uns, auf Nachfrage beim Check-In, dass es in unserrem Zimmer möglich sei. Als wir sie damit kontrontierten, dass in unserem Zimmer überhaupt kein Netzwerk angezeigt wird, meinte sie lapidar, bis dorthin reicht das Signal nicht. Das Zimmer hatte ein kleines Doppelbett, anstatt der gebuchten 2 Einzelbetten. Der Fensterrahmen war verzogen, so dass ein Fenster nicht vollständig geschlossen werken konnte. Im Bett waren wir während der ganzen Nacht der Zugluft ausgesetzt. Es war in der Nacht ziemlich kalt. Die Dusche war stark verschmutzt und am Duschkopf befand sich Schimmel. Der Zimmerpreis war ohne Frühstück und bei dem Gesamteinderuck völlig überteuert.

Change of name... disappointing
Hotel well located but staff not very pleasant nor helpful... We spent 2 nights in this hotel and were wake up each morning at 7 due to ongoing rénovations works (people hamering in the wall at 7...)
