"We stayed at Yarn Hotel in Zurich for four days and overall had a great experience. The location was excellent, right by the train station, which made getting around very convenient, and the Wi-Fi connection was also very good. There were a few things that could be improved. The breakfast selection was quite limited, and there was no phone in the room to contact the concierge or front desk. The concierge also closes around 10:30 PM, and after that the hotel doors are locked, so there is no access to the concierge overnight if you need any assistance. Other than these points, we really enjoyed our stay. It was a good, comfortable hotel in a very convenient location, and overall, we had a positive experience."

Swiss-Chalet Merlischachen - Historik Chalet-Hotel Lodge

"The hotel itself is like a postcard of Switzerland. Traditional wood building. Big wooden floorboards, wooden walls in the bedroom. The room was like a movie set. I’ve given the 5 star review for the whole experience. I’m not comparing it to a Dubai 5 star but the whole thing was excellent. 5 minute walk to the train station or regular busses at the front door. Not only to take you into Lucerne but anywhere really. Public transport even took us to the top of mount Rigi. The hotel has a private area on the lake with sun beds and paddle boats. The whole area is kept clean. Breakfast was very nice. We got the room with the shared bathroom facilities which was never a problem. There are bathrooms on all floors if your floor is occupied but that happened once. If there was something I would recommend they improve it would be these facilities as they are a bit old and worn looking. We will definitely be back. Much cheaper than lesser hotels in Lucerne itself and very easy to access with public transport."

"Charming. Love the proximity to the lake. The pool is wonderful. Food is very good. Staff very friendly and hard-working. If the weather is very hot opt for a lower floor. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was very hot and some of the windows did not open. We are hearty and made it work with a fan and cold swim before bed but it was not ideal. The view is fairy-tale-like. Would go back and get a lower floor with balcony"
