I don’t usually write reviews. But this lodge was way out of my expectations. My experience with the lodge was fantastic. Every staffs were very nice and sincere. The energy vibe at the place was warm and welcoming. The food was AMAZING. The lodge only host 5 rooms. So It was very private. You could pretty much enjoy the entire property by yourself without sharing space.

The owners of the property were very warm and hospital. The room was spacious and had a nice African vibe. Braai for dinner was delicious. Highly recommended!

Eine ausgezeichnete Unterkunft, wirklich viel Liebe zum Detail, tolle Zimmer mit perfekter Ausstattung, großartige Gastfreundschaft mit viel persönlichem Kontakt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Allergien (Zöliakie) wurden mit größter Sorgfalt berücksichtigt. Wenige Gehmeter entfernt kann man zu Fuß auf eine kleine Safari in den Busch gehen.

Sehr netter Gastgeber, steht immer für Infos bereit und organisiert auch gerne eine Safari im Krügerpark. Das abendliche Barbecue ist sehr lecker und absolut empfehlenswert. In der direkten Umgebung können einige Tiere auf eigene Faust beobachtet werden. Insgesamt eine tolle Lodge mit einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Não existe nada que não tenha gostado. Me senti em casa, longe de casa. Sander e Juliet nos abraçam como membros da família. O quarto é maravilhoso é super bem decorado, com atenção a cada detalhe. Já quero voltar pra lá!

Great stay at a erfect lodge close to wild animals

The lodge was perfect and situated great in a private reserv with wild animals were you could walk/ go with a car daytime. Rooms really clean and nicely devorated. Great breakfast and dinnerbuffe. The owner and the staff really nice. The owner booked great excursions for us. I highly recommend this lodge for among other things visiting the Kruger park and game drives.

Awesome Hoedspruit Acommodation

This place is a gem! The hosts Sanders and Juliet do a great job and truly offer an awesome stay with relaxed atmosphere. The room is comfy and clean. The breakfast is delicious. The activities offer by the lodge and performed by third parties have good cost-benefit. The location of the lodge is very good, close to the airport, main activities and to Hoedspruit few restaurants and shops. We were very glad with our stay and strongly recommend Africa Rock Lodge! Great stay

We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights and enjoyed our time there. Sander was a great host, picking us up from the airport, as well as providing us for bikes to use to ride around and explore the area (within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate). We ate dinner at the lodge both nights, and the food was very tasty and we enjoyed the environment sitting outside.

Close to the airport and great access point from which to venture further afield - into Kruger NP, particularly if you have vehicle access. Sander and his wife and daughter (soon to add a son) were the most helpful and kind hosts a traveler could wish for.

Fantastica esperienza! Fortunato a soggiornare in questo lodge carinissimo e molto curato: stanza stupenda curata fin nei minimi dettagli, piscina gradevole dove potersi rilassare, ambienti comuni in pieno stile africano...tutto bellissimo e ben organizzato dai gestori che organizzeranno per voi ogni tipo di esperienza (tra l'altro il tutto a prezzi onestissimi!). Ottima la colazione ed eccellente la cena con grigliate di carne e tantissimi altri pietanze tipiche.

We enjoyed our stay at African Rock Lodge. The owner couples gave us great suggestions for local attractions, driving routes and restaurants. The camp fire and braai dinner at the lodge was very intimate and nice.

Formidable, hôte adorable (encore merci pour son aide dans nos galères), lieu magnifique au cœur d’une réserve où il y a une quinzaine de girafes et où les phacochères se baladent devant la terrasses ! Le braai le soir est un plus, excellent et convivial ! On a adoré cet endroit.

Sehr schöne Lodge und freundlicher Gastgeber hat viele gute Tipps gegeben und spricht sogar ganz gut deutsch. Super gutes Frühstück. Wir sind leider nur eine Nacht geblieben. Man hätte die Möglichkeit im kleinen, privaten Game Resort Wanderungen zu Unternehmen (keine gefährlichen Tiere).

Excellent. Un accueil extra, même sous la pluie, où le propriétaire est venu à notre voiture avec le parapluie. De très bon conseil pour le restaurant. Un petit déjeuner très bon où les phacochères sont venus nous rendre visite juste à côté de la piscine. Un moment inoubliable. Je conseille fortement !

Escelente Lodge

A estadia foi maravilhosa. Estava cheio de expectativas e foram superadas com a beleza e calma do local e com a recepção dos funcionários que foi super acolhedora. Outro ponto chave é a limpeza desde os quartos até o restaurante, tudo muito limpo e bem cuidado. Gostamos tanto jantar que resolvemos comer no restaurante todos os dias. É feito na hora, comida deliciosa, típica sul africana e tem um excelente custo benefício. Voltaria a ficar lá novamente com certeza.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Tout était parfait. Le lodge est magnifique, Sander, son épouse et toute l équipe est aux petits soins pour nous. Le barbecue un vrai délice. Erg leuke lodge in een semi-natuur reservaat. Kleine opzet met 5 kamers. Erg leuk en smaakvol ingericht. Sander deed een prima job als eigenaar. Erg gezellig en zeker aan te bevelen
