“Everything was perfect! David was a very welcoming host, even though we arrived after 9pm. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and spacious and very clean with bottled water and amenities. David laid on the nicest breakfast of warm croissants, warm bread, cheeses, jams, yoghurt and honey, and also supplied is plenty of milk and cocoa for hot chocolate. The cats and dogs at the property are adorable and all in all, it was a very relaxed overnight stay. Merci, David et Cecile.”

“Everything about the red room was classic. A bio of the person whom the room was named after, "The Hamilton Room." Picture a perfect view out of the window and access to a cozy courtyard on the "o" floor. Lots of reading material that invites you to chill and read in comfortable chairs. The main bus stop for Calais is within view of the front door and the classic theatre building with three venues inside is literally across the street.”

“Our hostess, Sophie has been excellent with local places of interest including some local restaurants. Our “villa” was very comfortable and fresh with a queen sized bed. Our stay was made very enjoyable, even the local patisserie/boulangerie were welcoming. We even bought some of Sophie’s porcelain ”

“Only issue was using our navigation car system to access the hotel. It was telling us to drive the wrong way down a one way street. Very confusing, but was directing us to the parkade which was not easily visible. Little stressful. Had to park the car and walk to the hotel lobby to have things explained. Others were at the front desk with the same issue. But hotel is quite lovely!”
