“I'll start with the good. Pension Iturrizza is in a superb location in San Sebastian's Old Town. It's on a quiet side street near a church, very close to excellent dining (which is everywhere) and steps from the dock, beach and aquarium. It's hard to imagine finding something so convenient for what is a very good price. If all you want is a place to drop your bags and have a place to sleep, go for it. You probably won't be disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't give more than three stars for two...

“Great location for old town, beach, shopping. In an old building full of character. Café next door good for breakfast. On busy road but ok when windows shut.”

“버스터미널에서 걸어서 5분밖에 안걸립니다. 직원분들도 엄청나게 친절하고 방 컨디션도 좋았어요. 방음이 약간 안되는 것 같은데 신경쓰일 정도는 아니였습니다 :)”

“Great location in downtown San Sebastián. We really just wanted some beach days and pintxos and this location delivered! Lucas was very helpful with recommendations.”

“Instrucción to the building and room were clear and easy friendly. Room and bathroom assigned were super clean. I will book again at Pension El Puerto!”

“Never stayed in a room this small before. The bathroom was a joke. I'm 5'8" and whilst sitting on the toilet, my knees touched the wall in front. No space to dry yourself after a shower. Two single beds occupied much of the room with only a small gap between them. View from bedroom was the back of other buildings surrounding it. Cost was eye watering for what we got and no breakfast provided. The owner, Inaki, was very pleasant but our overall feeling was that we had been conned.”

“Jon was very helpful in recommending restaurants, activities and day trips to create a rich experience in San Sebastián. He was very responsive to allow a smooth late evening check-in as our train arrived late.”

“The accommodation is right at the heart of old town walking distance to everything we needed. Beatrice on reception was a delight and made us fell so welcome. Claudia looked out for us when we had a bit of a mix up entering the property going above and beyond to make sure myself and my daughter were ok. I will treasure my time in San Sebastián and can’t wait to revisit. NB the location is noisy as it is so near to everything but it is just life and I did not mind it at all x”
