“I was flying from Canada. As soon as I've landed in Gatwick, they called me to cancel my reservation stating they overbooked. I had to sleep on the floor at the airport with my 15 years old daughter as all the other hotels were fully booked. If I go back to Gatwick, I won't reserve with them. Bad experience. On another note, Expedia were there to help me. They've been in touch, contacted other hotels. They did everything possible to help me.”

“This is an older guest house with limited facilities situated in a charming village just minutes from Gatwick Airport. There is no elevator or AC and the rooms are very small. In the room there was an electric kettle and provisions to make a cup of tea, no coffee. The staff was very helpful and carried my bags to the 3rd floor, The cab cost $23 from the airport. The village center is a 5 min walk with a variety of restaurants and shops. I had a one night stay, with a 20 hour layover, and...

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.”

“The staff was kind and welcoming. The rooms are not air conditioned and with the windows open, and the drapes open to let the air in, you do hear road noise and get early morning light. I was not able to sleep much because of the noise and light. Convenient airport shuttle for 15 pounds.”

“Stayed at the Percy hotel whilst on business and have to say the room and facilities were excellent. One standout was the restaurant which I dined in on both evenings. Speciality is the steaks and the Tuesday steak offer where I had a 16oz rump which I gave to say was the best cut of meat I have had in a very longtime. I would definitely put it on my must visit again places”
