Check-in did not go as planned, as they acted like I had not reserved a room. We ended up staying in the wrong “style” of room, but it ended up being fine. I booked a king suite for my spouse and I, but they gave us a spite with three beds. Sounds like an upgrade, but we didn’t need all three, and the beds were smaller. We ended up sleeping in separate beds, but it wasn’t really a big deal. They brought us hot water bottles in the evening which was amazing! It got chilly, so to have something clay warming your feet was really great. There were loud noises a few nights - fireworks and some kind of fire alarm that sounded like it was in the building, but Cusco is a busy place and there were some festivals at the time. Overall this was a nice place with great views, but just a few drawbacks. I don’t have any point of comparison for the area, so it’s tough to say whether I recommend or not. It worked well for our stay and it was charming.
