Indeed you had the offer to enjoy free upgrade and a bottle of wine in the room. As your booking was made on the very evening that you were supposed to arrive at the hotel, our reservation services in charge of updating your offer was closed. When such an incident happens we are often alerted by the guest and we immediately attend to it or take care the next morning. Since you only spent one night it was too late for us. Regarding the issue of taxis, I can categorically state that no dubious scheme is involved. a conventional taxi was ordered for you and as you may know the state of the traffic can have an impact on rate. The front desk staff is always available to assist guest when needed without any tricky intentions. Thank you once again and please accept our apologies.
