Lovely building but difficult to find.
Not easy to find as there were no signs at the junction off the main road. The building and the views were lovely. Breakfast was adequate, it would have been better if yoghurts had been available, also the cheese could have been better.

Super
Hotel is in the middle of no where, but ideal stop over on trip to southern spain. Dog friendly, lovely grounds to walk the dogs, simple but nice enough restaurant food (just as well because no where else to go). Friendly staff but little or no english spoken. Oh and they had no record of our booking but luckily they could fit us in anyway

Didn't know we were coming
The hotel is way out in the sticks, none of the roads showing on my satnav, had to use Google Maps. We were not expected and after a call to the boss, we were given a room overlooking a light well. We were told they were full but clearly there were only a few guests staying there. Room decor not to our taste and the bed only had a small bolster. We asked for some pillows and were given very small bolsters which I assume was their version of a pillow. The room was very clean. Dinner was better than expected but quite basic. Breakfast was a cold affair with warm coffee. It is really more of a hunting lodge than a hotel but as it was just a stop over, it is adequate. It does look like the photos, they are rather flattering.

El hotel está bien pero el camino para llegar está en malas condiciones. Fuimos en invierno y hacía frío en la habitación y en el comedor de desayunos.

Desidia y poco interés
Había escrito mi visita pero tiene 2.800 caracteres y no es posible, asi que resumo mucho mucho. Servicio: pésimo. Poco interés, poca disponibilidad, poco personal. Ni siquiera tenían mi reserva ni que mecorrespondía media pensión (tuve que demostrarlo con la app de Hoteles.com). Comida: bien. Instalaciones exteriores: bien (piscina, vistas, tranquilidad, parking). Habitación: justa de diseño. Sábana bajera que no tiene las medidas necesarias, escritorio sin silla, no hay aire acondicionado (hay ventilador de techo). Limpieza: parecía que bien pero un detalle de pelos en el desagüe del lavabo me hizo cambiar de opinión. Precio: muy caro, para lo que he comentado.

Tout impeccable
Le MORAGONA est tout à fait satisfaisant à tous points de vue (situation, qualité, accueil, confort, repas...). Un seul reproche : le manque de signalisation près de la route A231. On le cherche entre la route et la ville, alors qu'il est à l'opposé et à 4 Km ! Mais on y arrive quand-même.

Great place, but hard to find
We enjoyed our stay very much. The place is something else. It also has a really nice little bar. We could use the bar, since dinner starts at 20:30. Not unusual in Spain, but new to us. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The place was hard to find. It is not in the center of the little town, but in nowhere land. But they will help you find it. Hopefully google updates the location.

hôtel très bien situé dans une pinède. hôtel très bien tenu - très calme. restaurant très bon et très copieux. le personnel de l'hôtel et du restaurant parfait.

La Morogana Hotel
This was extremely difficult to find. Forget about the village Vara del Rey whih is the advertised location - go for E310 KM 168 and look for signs. Yes, it is out in the wilderness and a veritable oasis. Rooms all on the ground floor and no aircon but with ceiling fans. Did not try the evening meal but did have breakfast. The B&B rate was very good value but the breakfast faily basic - no hot food. Plenty of open space, swimming pool etc. Difficult to fault but would say 2 star at most. Happy but disappointed - not sure why!

Lovely hotel
We found this hotel excellant, very quiet and unspoilt and the owners were really friendly and helpful, especially as there seemed to be a problem with the booking, would recommend to friends etc. We would both like to return perhaps for a longer stay, a hidden gem!
