This hotel is beautifully located steps from the pier in Villefranche. The views are incredible, and the staff is extremely friendly. We would not hesitate to come back again. We had an amusing experience with one of the night staff, which illustrates the French culture a bit: before going out to dinner, we asked when the bar would close at. We were told 10pm. Upon returning at 9:45pm looking forward for a nightcap, we found the bar closed. When pointing out to the person at the desk that they said 10pm, the man looked puzzled, and replied: that's right, its quarter to 10, what do you expect ? LOL ! We opted to laugh. This is no way took away from the great stay we had there.

As a solo traveller this was the best experience. It is a little pricy but worth it for 2 nights of luxury. The views over the bay are incredible and shops and restraints very close. Only 7 min walk to the beach and train to Monaco. If you want a tranquil holiday this is it, thankfully no nightclubs or bars open til late. I had the best sleeps here! I'm definitely coming back!

Wonderfully situated overlooking the small harbor in the old city. Easy access to walks along the beach, coastline and jaunts into the city. Great service and staff. Our suite was spacious and well appointed.

Great property, excellent location in the old town close to the harbour with great views, restaurants. You are in walking distance to a train to do day trips to other cuties along the Rivera.

We loved our stay at Welcome Hotel. The location is perfect and so quant. Lots of great dining options around and the atmosphere is so quant. The room itself was a little small, but it was very well done. Our room had recently been remodeled, but I am not sure the bathroom had been. The shower/tub was quite small, but as is the case with most old, European hotels. We loved it here and would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you are staying in Villefranche, this is worth it!

Loved everything about the property with the exception of 2 things. 1. They charge for beach towels. its not expensive, just a principal thing. you are a hotel on a beach... 2. Our room was ok, a bit loud as it was on the first floor near the elevator. other than that..the hotel was great. clean, hotel staff was friendly and helpful etc. definitely would recommend.

Det beste ved dette hotellet er beliggenheten og servicen. Plassert ved havna i Villefrance og har en nydelig utsikt over bukten, båtlivet og folk som passerer forbi. Servicen og vennligheten til personalet er upåklagelig. Rommet var litt lite, og det kunne gjerne hatt litt mer plass til oppbevaring (hyller, skap etc), men det var rent og fint. Totalt sett et veldig hyggelig opphold! (Men noe dyrt :-)

The hotel is lovely and in a wonderful location though our room was disappointedly small. The real problem was the damage done to our car after we paid for the expensive hotel parking and valet service. We had been traveling for 2 weeks throughout France without a scratch so we weren't impressed that the car got damaged while in the car of the hotel. They didn't mention nor did we notice the car damage until taking the car back to the rental agency after we left the hotel.

Ekstremt god service og vennlige ansatte!
Vi hadde en fantastisk opphold på dette hotellet i en perle av en by! De ansatte var svært oppmerksomme og hjalp til med absolutt alt! De foreslo restauranter og sørget for de absolutt beste bordene, de booket solsenger på første rad de plassene vi ønsket å bade på, de serverte roomservice raskt og effektivt og var generelt veldig hyggelige og omsorgsfulle mot oss! Rommet var helt nydelig med to store balkonger og fantastisk utsikt! Vi skal tilbake neste år!

Superb location in the old harbour but the room was small and very hot as the air con didn’t work. The mattress was sloping so most uncomfortable and the bathroom was very dated. Staff seemed disinterested. Having read reviews before our trip, I was looking forward to our stay so disappointed on the whole.

Dear Madam, Thanks for having chosen Villefranche-sur-mer and Welcome hotel for your recent stay. And thank you for having taken time to write a feed back of your experience. As you noticed, the hotel is located in the old fisherman harbour with many restaurants and tiny shops in the surroundings. You booked a Comfort room with a balcony and front sea view and its size is around 16 square meters. Please note that the Superior and Deluxe rooms are a bit larger. Moreover, each winter closing period, we refurbish a few rooms in different styles (decor, furniture, color) and we are sorry that you did not like the decor of yours. Beside this, we are surprised to hear that you were not satisfied by our staff because we always try to make our guest stay great. Hoping you will give us a second opportunity to meet your demands. Very nice room. We had the Junior Suite, which was fantastic. Only complaint was that we couldn’t turn on the air conditioner or keep windows open at night. Service was excellent and the location on the water very nice!

We awoke to the sun rising over the Mediterranean Sea from our balcony. Need I say more? Everything about this hotel is wonderful, especially the staff. They went above and beyond to help us navigate the French Riviera. The best part was the affordable rate!

Delightful hotel and friendly staff right at the centre of the town. Great views and very near a pebbly beach, train station and many restaurants. To explore the old town be prepared to walk up lots of hills. Highly recommend!

Escapade dépaysante avec magnifique vue sur baie
Excellent séjour dépaysant dans la baie de Villefranche directement au bord de la mer avec un excellent accueil et service. Restaurants, vieille ville, plage, balade, et même gare si besoin, à grande proximité.
