Where do i start? Staff: everyone was so helpful, nice, kind, eager to assist you and always with a smile . Great job. Food was good, a lot of variety and to choose from . We enjoyed the food, all of it. Beds were comfy , air conditioning worked well. On the other hand, the hotel is completely outdated, it looks like they haven’t take care of many issues ( around the pool a lot of tiles broken ) etc etc etc. The walls between rooms are like paper, you can hear everything from the adjacent room . Bathrooms (at least ours) was very dirty in the corners around the shower and even we found a cockroach in our closet . It hasn’t received a touch of love since long time ago , or probably never and you can tell . It looks like an abandoned hotel in the middle of nowhere . It’s a shame that such a beautiful property looks so old . Furniture at the pool and lounges and dinings room should be updated as well since they look dirty and worn out . I was very disappointed to say the least.

Noisy and out-dated. Food was average (except the italian restaurant). The guys at the bar on Tower 1 next to the swimming pool where amazing and super friendly and helpful.

The property had many cats and dogs in all areas specifically eating areas. So if you are allergic or don’t like to eat with cats and dogs, not a good place to stay. The property is also a distance from the town so it is isolated if you want some peace and calm.

Clean. Good service. Mediocre food. Limited all-inclusive. Some goodies had to be purchased. Too much on the q codes. Reserve this, reserve that. Too beholden to check-in and check-out hours. I.e. arrive early, have to pay for food.

I made the decision to have Christmas Eve at this resort. I was looking forward to enjoying the all-inclusive package, beautiful pools, and beach, but it all turned into a nightmare just before Christmas Eve at 11:50 pm. Let’s start with the facility. This hotel claims to be a 4-star resort, but as a design professional with over 20 years of experience, I disagree. The sleeping accommodations need a renovation. The interior plaster walls in the rooms are uneven with random bumps, the flooring has uneven bricks, and the rooms are dark with single-pane glass sliding doors. The bathrooms are run down, with old fixtures, barely attached towel hangers, stained tubs, and uneven glass walls. The couch had rust, and the beds are on a concrete platform. The building’s exterior has water and mold damage, and there’s no sound barrier from room to room. Back to my story, at 11:20, we were enjoying a Christmas show at the beach when my 18-month-old daughter started showing discomfort. By 11:40, she threw up, and my wife and daughter got food poisoning, ruining our Christmas. We called medics at 12:15, but they didn’t arrive until 2:30. I got food poisoning the next day. It was the worst vacation ever. My advice: don’t come to this resort. The beach and pools are nice, but not worth getting sick. The beach isn’t private, and there are wild dogs and cats around. The resort seems more geared towards Colombians. I can handle rundown rooms, but not getting sick on my hard-earned vacation.

This hotel falls very short on the things they promise. We were given 1 towel each for our entire stay. Very basic necessities such as toilet paper would run out and not be refilled. Pool towels are given sparingly and amenities were not there. We would come back to a “clean” room and there would still be sand everywhere, along with our garbage and dirty towels that were not changed. The hotel restaurant refused to accommodate us because we were 10 minutes late saying they were now seating 8pm reservations (at 7:10pm). There is only one bar that is open all the time on the property and it is far from the rooms. Everything is practically self serve, if you want a drink of water at night you will have to go outside to get it yourself. Half of the beach - you have to pay more to sit there. The food did not live up to the standards I had, it was barely edible (cheap cuts of meat, small servings, no variety). I am not sure what is “all inclusive” about his because even things like snacks (that they advertise are available after 10pm) and coffee (in COLOMBIA) were not available on more than one occasion. The food and ambiance is much better in the actual city of Cartagena (this hotel is about 20 min outside the city) - I would not stay here again. Way too much money for the things they promise and don’t fulfill. We really just slept here because of how disappointed we were- and even that was a mission because of very loud neighbors despite the hotel having NOTHING to do after 10pm.

Pros: food was great and they do a fantastic job at encouraging guests to not waste food. Pet-friendly (even with strays). The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were allowed an early check-in -- it took 3 hours -- but we were grateful for allowing us to enter the room early. They also tried their best to accommodate a late checkout but they were fully booked and we could see how busy the hotel was. They also provide a shuttle service to town free of charge which was very helpful. Cons: There is nothing to do outside the hotel area. The Entertainment team and activities lacked creativity and budget.

Very unhappy with my stay. Planned this trip for my mother's birthday and I'm disappointed. The staff didn't speak any English, which is surprising since most operations cater to tourists.... The food options were mediocre with limited options and the rooms need immediate upgrades (especially the bathroom tub/shower).Covered in mildew. Aside from that, the pool areas weren't clean and stray animals roamed the property. At check-in, the room smelled of dirty mop and mildew odor. Again updates are needed ASAP..... This is definitely not a four star resort! Compared to Royalton resorts, this resort is a one star. Much is needed for good ratings. Really sad that I didn't choose a better resort.

The rooms need updated air conditioning. The bathroom need better ventilation. The rooms need to be fully cleaned bathrooms especially. Snack time needed more variety. They did have great transportation to the city. Great air conditioned clean bus.

The smell of mold n humidity takes over the room. Was assigned 4 different room n the have the same issue. Property structure needs maintenance. paint peeling, black molds n leaks in the structure is observed. Staff is really friendly and try to accommodate.

The rooms are old and have an ant problem in most of the accommodations. The food was mediocre. The staff attempted to be acccomadating but didnt take the mold issue, ant issue, or lack of reliable AC seriously.

As stated in all our brochures, Check In to enjoy the facilities and various services takes place from 3:00 p.m., and we have a key delivery period until 5:00 p.m. This is due to the fact that departing passengers return their rooms at 1:00 pm, and later the housekeeper department performs the respective cleaning, prepares and verifies them in order to assign them again. This is not a whimsical issue or bad service, but rather obeys the way in which our operation is established. The property is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The main problem is with hotel staff and a complete lack of information about the facilities. The check-in time is rigidly enforced at 3:30 pm, despite the fact that many travelers arrive early in the morning on overnight flights. This would be okay if there were an indoor, air-conditioned space in which to receive hotel guests; however, guests have a shaded waiting area in which to pass the hours in the baking heat, including children and the elderly. We offered to pay for an extra day to be able to access a room earlier, but the front desk receptionist was condescending. Every day, we saw guests and their luggage stack up waiting for their room. If the hotel weren't booked so full, this might alleviate the problem. Our room was lovely but packed a hair dryer. We notified the concierge who made note of it and did nothing about it. We also notified the housekeeing of the situation, but they did not know what to do about it. Three days later, after more requests, we were finally given a hair dryer. The air condoning in the rooms is weak, which is on par for the region in general, but at the height of summer, we felt cooler rooms would be better overall. The property has 3 pools, but one is exclusively for adults. The pools that allow children often host DJs with music loud enough so that keeping ears on splashing children becomes difficult at best. Finally, the QR code to hotel information leads to a 404 page.
