True 5-star hotel, but would not recommend the spa. Dated facilities and they say due to government regulations they cannot do traditional facial, so did not include things like skin exam, pore cleanse, etc. they end up rubbing your chest half the time and massaging your cheekbones the rest.

Lovely hotel. Rooms lovely and clean. Breakfast was a disappointment, running out of everything on the buffet and having to ask for everything even a cup of coffee. Hard to find staff to ask for breakfast items. Children handling buffet unsupervised is always a turn off. My husband ended up showing some how to use the toaster. Would have been nice if the pool had some adult only slots.

The spa was great. Loved the adults only pool hours from noon-4 daily. There could've been more lounge chairs at the pool and better enforcement of the no jumping rule. The kids were unruly. The breakfast is great. Breakfast staff was great. The lunch and dinner in the lobby lounge was a ZERO. Bad service, limited selection and food that was not as good as the pricing. Would I stay again? Sure, the room was great, i felt safe and the location was great. But the Lobby Lounge is ruining this property. As well as an angry doorman. Well, one day he was angry...then the next he wasn't. I would expect better.

Alt i alt et fint opphold på InterContinental! - Ved ankomst kl. 13 fikk vi sjekke inn, noe som var veldig positivt da man vanligvis må vente til en viss tid for innsjekking. - Rommet (Classic kingsize with balcony and city view) var stort og fint (42kvm). Veldig god lydisolasjon, vi hørte ingenting fra hverken gangen eller naborom. Det var heller ikke plagsom bystøy. Sengetøyet var veldig mykt og behagelig og putene var myke og gode. - Housekeeping var nøye og veldig hyggelige. Vi fikk rommet rengjort etter kl. 18 en dag, da vi ønsket å sove på dagtid. - Vi bestilte flere ganger mat til rommet. Maten var veldig god og prisene var absolutt akseptable ift tilsvarende mat på en restaurant. Det tilkommer traycharge på €7,50, men det er helt greit. Veldig godt utvalg av god mat og drikke. - Frokostbuffeten var veldig god. Det bar tidvis preg av litt mangelfull oversikt blant personalet, da bestilling av kaffe ble glemt og køene for å komme inn til frokost ble lange. - Vi parkerte på self-parking under hele oppholdet (€20/døgn). Kun noen meter fra hotellets resepsjon. Den ene gangen vi kom tilbake til hotellet var det fullt på parkeringsplassen. Personalet (doorman / concierge) var veldig behjelpelige og tok imot bilen og parkerte den for oss slik at vi kunne gå på rommet. Svært god opplevelse. - Generelt sett veldig hyggelige mennesker som jobber ved hotellet. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

I am a fan of Intercontinental properties as they are a top brand and typically 5 star or have some uniqueness about them. Dublin Intercontinental was good because it was away from the touristy area but that meant taxi fares anywhere you want to go. The rooms, spa and bar were as expected. The dinner lounge/restaurant was well appointed but menu was lacking. Breakfast was good but staff was short handed or inattentive. Kind of disappointing when you expect some specialness at a 5 star property. Dublin Intercontinental needs some direction to get to the next level.

The Intercontinental is a beautiful hotel in a quiet neighborhood. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the main city but also not within walking distance. Taxis and Ubers are the only way to get around. There is a small train nearby which take you north or south. There are some good small cafes and restaurants nearby within walking distance Our room was large, a junior suite. We didn’t have much of a view. The room overall was clean but the tile grout in the bathroom and shower was awful. It wasn’t just staining but grime and hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The staff were pleasant although not overly helpful. We had the a la carts breakfast a few days and it was decent. We did not try the buffet. We came in early after a flight and our room wasn’t ready which was fine. We left our bags and returned at check in time to find it still wasn’t ready. So we waited for our room and then waited for our luggage. After asking twice and being told it was ‘on the way’, we had to leave for a reservation without our luggage and without getting to change clothes. Overall, this was still a very nice hotel

Excellent hotel in the Ballsbridge neighborhood. Quiet leafy streets, embassies and consulates, etc. 15 - 20 minute cab ride to St Stephen’s Green and the city center. Keep this in mind if you prefer to be walking distance from the action.

We had a wonderful family vacation and loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms are a generous size, the beds are super comfortable, and the hotel is beautiful. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet and ate several dinners at the hotel restaurant. The location is convenient and it was nice to be near, but not right in the city downtown center. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Lovely property with excellent staff. In addition to the restaurants on site, there are a number of pubs and nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Room was spacious and quiet, we had only one issue which was the shower drain was draining slowly which they quickly corrected.

Memories of a summer in Dublin
What a beautiful hotel and with a wonderful, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff. Hotel was so convenient to bus and rail travel, allowing us to fit in some retail therapy along with exploring the leafy suburbs of Dublin. Definitely will return.
