We are very disappointed by this review. Firstly, we apologize for the construction noise. The project only affects this one villa and will be completed very soon. The noise level is partly controllable by us but we don't put in requests to the contractor unless the guests tell us that it is disturbing them. Secondly, we accept that Amori Spa does not offer a full range of beauty treatments. We do have a free shuttle service which takes guests to many Ubud spas within 10-15 minutes. Thirdly, we strongly advise all our prospective guests to visit our website and email us before they book. It is very easy to be confused by the Hotels.com and other OTA descriptions of the 4 different villa and room types at Amori. That said, we find it more than curious that our use of traditional architecture, local timber and marble would be reviewed as simple, old and "not luxury boutique". And the 3 year old kettle looks like it is 20 years old? Really? Lastly, we provide cotton blankets which are usually enough in our tropical climate. For those who like to use the air-conditioning at night, we also have duvets, on request. We appreciate your recommendation although your expectations of luxury are very personal. Almost all our previous guests have enjoyed Amori as per its description as a luxury boutique retreat hotel.
