Nice hotel with spa facilities and amazing breakfast
The hotel has a lovely onsite spa and beauty centre. ATM'a are outside if you need cash. The breakfast buffet was very nice with Ethiopian and Western food choices and you can also order eggs which the chef will make to taste. Communication is basic and some of the réception staff have difficulty speaking English. The standard room is a bit small but the deluxe was very nice. Ordering room service didn't work as they had nothing available.. Not sure what the situation is there.. Manager was helpful and is looking at improving the communication issues. All in all a lovely stay and I will definitely return to this hotel next time.

The property is great in a safe and very central location of Addis Ababa, they have amazing amenities, spa, jacuzzi, bar, hair salon etc... and a patio with traditional Ethiopian coffee.... I love the Hotel the Staff The security and amazing manager.. young man just outstanding person. I'm from Vancouver, Canada but I'm think staying another month here... you'll never get all these things anywhere and for the price... I'm a world traveller. thx Sidra Family

COVID-19 Ethiopia Haven
Superbly SAFE. This is the hospitality ambiance that I experienced during my extended stay at Sidra International Hotel. The one glitch in my mini COVID-19 UNEXPECTED Ethiopian Vacation will have to be electricity cuts in the city, which also affected the hotel's WiFi. The property did have a generator which was put into action for EVERY OUTAGE. The super points of Sidra lies in management and staff. They catered to and exceeded my every need. The food and beverage crew and the beautiful ladies in the Spa makes Sidra a fancy choice at a moderate price. A stay at Sidra also includes free mini-gym access. After a sweaty workout, Sidra guests are entitled to DAILY FREE sauna or steam room visits and foot rubs. All other spa services are listed in a more than affordable menu. Be sure to book your next stay at Sidra International, but don't get too spoiled with the TRUE ETHIOPIAN KINDNESS AND PAMPERING 🤗😉.

Highly recommend, nice rooms, great customer servi
Very nice, clean, large rooms. Staff very helpful, good service. The basic room was almost like a suite, with a small sitting area and a balcony with table and chairs. Only downside is location, there are not alot of places to walk to, have to take a taxi for the most part as it is on the outskirts of Bole.

The was a great hotel close to where I had meetings. The staff was fabulous. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. A great value overall. The only problem I had was that the credit card machine was not working, so I had to pay for my food in cash.

Awesome stay!!! 4th time
My stay at this hotel is always awesome, front desk manager Addis took care of a situation i had with a misplaced duty free package...long story but i got it back!!! The GM Mr. Beleta is a awesome guy as well as his Assistant Ms. Yemi!! They are a awesome team and i would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel...I have stayed here 4 times already and will be back again next month

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks. I felt like I am at home. Great customer service and very delightful hotel staff. Manager is very accommodating and friendly. Very central location to major markets, offices, and city centers. Hotel is very clean, safe and quiet. Overall it has a lot going on for this hotel. One minor improvement i would highly recommend, fix the standing showers plastic floors in room 301 and 501. Get a more steady shower floor, than the inexpensive plastic/risen material. I gave it 3/5.

Good value
From pick up.to departure the hotel staff were very good. We opted for a local hotel to get more of a flavour of the country and I am glad that we did. My sister needed her shoe repaired and it was done in 15 minutes. We felt safe at all times. The only problem was with the bathroom maintenance., as the shower pan leaked all over the floor and the fixtures were loose.

Staff is excellent (everyone). Very professional, pleasant, friendly, polite, helpful. They make you feel welcome and at home. Property was clean & comfortable.The free breakfast was great. I had no issues other than minor wi-fi connectivity problem (once connected speed is good though) . I enjoyed my time at Sidra and I'd definitely stay at Sidra again as well as recommend to anyone visiting Addis.

Good value for money
I booked this hotel because it was close to a place of my business meetings and had good feedback. - Any time you want the staff to solve an issue, the response is, "no problem". Whether the issue is solve, is another topic. For example, I did not get a card to open my room, and it was "no problem": they would either send somebody with a master key to unlock the room, or give me the master key, every time. Or I needed a taxi in the morning at a particular time, and it was "no problem"; whether there was a taxi or not is another topic. The complimentary shuttle did not pick me up as they promised, arrived only after I called from the airport; the manager sent a fruit platter to our room later which was nice - Breakfast is complimentary and mostly Ethiopian (shiro, injera, firfir) plus some salads; you can order omelet as well. Coffee is instant (which is a shame in Ethiopia). Juices are diluted. - Sauna and foot massage are complimentary, but I did not use them. - The sky bar on the rooftop was closed - If you intend to have lunch and dinner, be ready to get not exactly what you ordered and somewhat overpriced by Ethiopian standards (for example, having a dinner at Abyssinia restaurant would be much better) - Internet is complimentary, but it is on and off frequently, and the speed varies Overall it is a good value for money - decent hotel with decent food and services. If you want to have better food, internet, service, you may want to choose another (higher category) hotel

Beautiful Hotel good Service
All of them who work at the hotel were very gentle. They are always take care of their customer needs. The breakfast which was a buffet, taste excellent. The room is very clean because of the service cleaning every morning.

There is no AC in the room so I had to keep the toilet window open to mention the room temperate but I faced the problem of having mosquitos inside the room. Room is very small, carpet was not clean & towels were "gray". Stuff were very friendly & tried to do their best.

Interesting Hotel in Addis Ababa
Wifi: This hotel has Wifi but the Wifi cannot connect to Facebook, Whatsapp, YouTube... Its basically worthless and frustrating. Location: The hotel is not within the central business district. You need a taxi to visit most of the places. If you allow the front desk to call you one, the charge will be double (300 Bir) to go to the city. You can however step out of the hotel gate and flag your own taxi and pay 150 Bir. Room: The room I took was slightly higher than the others (room with city views). So you would think it would be better. This room faces the hotel main gate, does not have AC and gets quite hot. The city views is based on iron roofed houses. Interesting enough, the rooms that don't face the main gate have more ventilation and life. Room Cleanliness: This was disappointing as you'd find left over people's hairs. The hotel does not change bed sheets and also you have to keep on requesting for simple toiletries such as tissues. Would I recommend you to stay at this hotel? Yes, probably. Just don't expect the experience to be excellent/great. Also master the art of bargaining with the taxi that the hotel provides you. If they tell you 300 Bir, the price is definitely 150 Bir. The hotel offers complimentary rides to and from the airport. If you need one, call them directly even if it's two hours before your arrival. They'll be there. However, when you arrive in the Airport, walk all the way out to where the public are. The driver will have a sign for you.

I would stay again but....
Location of the hotel is good except there is traffic noise a little at night and early morning. If they had installed dual pane windows it would have been limited but the amenities and price compensate for it unless you are really bothered by noise. Expedia listing shows two queen beds but they are two doubles. I asked the reception too they confirm that they don't have Queens. Other than that they have a good clean hotel worth the money

Nice stay.
I have to admit that I do normally stay in a little more high end hotels. I was in Addis the same time as the African Summit, so there was almost nothing available. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The service was great. The breakfast was fine. I'd probably stay here again. The towels were a bit dodgy though.

Hotel very comfortable and great friendly staff. Steam and sauna was a great added benefit. Probably one of the best places I have stayed.

Sauberkeit des Zimmer war mehr als mangelhaft. Essen im Restaurant war gut, aber das Frühstück ist nicht zu empfehlen. Der sogenannte "Nachtclub" war eine dunkele Bar in der oberste Etage und war geöffnet von 17.00 bis 23.00 Uhr.die Lage ist ruhig, wird aber sehr viel gebaut und ist laut tagsüber.. das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wie in jedem Hotel in Addis Abeba. Gut ist, das man alleine auf die Straße gehen kann, ohne das man angebettelt wird. Um die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen nimmt man am besten ein Taxi. 5 Stunden ca. 20 Euro

The staff were excellent - very polite and timely. The rooms were modern, clean and well taken care of. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones I've had with a nice mix of local and more mainstream dishes. Overall, I have no complaints and Sidra Hotel greatly exceeded my expectations.

good room but poor service
The room is quite wide and the quality and cleaning is good, although bathtub is not equipped. I confirmed at the reception that no room has bathtub in this hotel and disappointed. Spa and restaurant facility is quite good, but stuff at spa was not friendly and restaurant service was not convenient enough because waitress was not always serving at the restaurant located at the 1st floor, but also at the bar at the ground floor. I believe that the hotel should well consider the improvement for the management of service.

Rustige omgeving. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en goede service. Ik heb veel hotels in Addis Abeba uitgeprobeerd, maar Sidra steekt er duidelijk bovenuit.

The hotel staff and the general manager, Ashenafi, were outstanding - always making sure all my needs were taken care of. They are very friendly and courteous. It's the BEST hotel for the price/service. And the room are spacious.

A place that feels home!
I choose to stay at Sidra after reading the positive feedbacks and reviews from clients that stayed there previously. In my frequent travel, reading individual’s first-hand experience is very important to me. And, I am very satisfied with my stay at Sidra. My semi-work-visit trip has made fuller because of the experience at Sidra. The staff, from front desk to cafeteria to housekeeping are extremely helpful! I arrived a bit earlier to check-in, they have accommodated every request I made. From providing airport shuttle, full-breakfast, and free WiFi, the hotel is a better choice for the money. The location is closer to 22 mazoria, in a neighborhood called lem-hotel. Currently the street that connects from the main road is under construction ( my only disappointment), but hopefully it will be completed before my next trip. But, it is easily accessible and closer to many locations, including bole and megenagna. ( and a contract cab (Taxi’s) was easy to arrange with the front desk, also there are plenty of taxis in a 2 minutes walking distance) Another feature I liked about the place is, it has a sense of tranquility while located in the midst of the city. Unlike many hotels I stayed in Addis, the rooms at Sidra are quiet and equipped with balcony. The terrace ( although quiet) provides with a view of the city and a music played by a dj. I also used the massage service and the gym, which is decent! I will definitely go back to it! Than you for making my experience richer!

The Staff are very courteous and ready to assist. They make up for the poor location of the hotel
