Wow this property was so much more than we anticipated. We stayed here before and after our trip over from the mainland and it became our favourite place to overnight for our entire 5 week road trip this summer. The facilities were homely and the farm and outlook stunning. It was exactly what we needed. Thank you.

We were only here 12 hours for some sleep and a quick breakfast but the place is very clean and spacious. Most ok the beds were ok though the one in the living area would benefit from a better mattress; my 2 year old didn’t complain though.

Not far out of town but seems far away with deer and sheep grazing out the front of the property and trees out the back was really peaceful will be trying to get back again sometime

The property is out of the town and therefore a peaceful position, the animals are very quiet and it feels safe. As the farm is located up on a hill, there are lovely views to forests and distant hills.

Lovely one night stay in the two bed unit with elderly relatives. Easy access for them. Loved the peace and quiet, Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Lovely and clean.

Staying at Sherwood was a comfortable experience with a spa as a highlight of our stay. The host was generous with towels and extras like breakfast and the kitchen was well equipped. The unit was also quite spacious, best for a couple, we were three. It was a little unclear where the other accommodation units were and where the owners house started. This made communication a bit tricky.

Quiet place.

Is located off the main road, somewhere inside a farm area. Is really quiet at night, main town is 10mins drive out. Apartments are spacious, ideal for cooking.

Beautiful setting lovely room with comfy couch.good kitchen with ample breakfast provisions. Disappointing only vegimite spread for toast a better selection needed.Also no shampoo in bathroom which was huge.Overall very happy.John

As a self-care, the place is very good. As a Bed and Breakfast, it is a dismal failure. Bed and no breakfast would be more appropriate. On arrival, reception consisted of a note sticky taped to the door, with no one to be seen. We paid for the 2 bedroom, for the larger living area, with the price including four guests. Breakfast on the first day was 4 eggs, bacon, juice, milk, bread, butter. This is sufficient for two, not four. The owners commented that they had thought breakfast was for four, and then cut it back to half. We had paid for four. They kept forgetting to resupply breakfast totally. Their excuse was “we are very disorganized, as we longer live on-site”. They were very happy to apologize, and then charge me the full price. This happened to only to us, but others staying there as well. Their documents state that the bins would be emptied daily, and the linen changed on the fourth day. These were also missed. According to the advertisement, the premises are supposed to be Covid safe: professionally cleaned with high contact areas treated accordingly. Nothing is further from the truth, with the kitchen counters and tables left sticky, and half a jar of Jam in the fridge. The quick vacuum and wipe down is done by the owners. The place is currently for sale, and it would appear that the owners have lost interest in everything except “the Cone”. My recommendation would be to avoid this place until it is under new management, and under the control of someone who cares.

Thanks for your review, totally not acurate, we are not living on site at the moment but we saw you every day with plenty of opportunities for you to discuss any issues. We certainly do not give a quick wipe over when cleaning, and very conscious of the standard maintained. Your beautiful dog left behind so much hair and I can guarantee there was no trace at the end of the clean. We have not lost interest and very disappointed with your attitude. We did apologise for the one day when we forgot to top up your breakfast provisions, the price is up to four people, there were 2 of you and breakfast is provided accordingly, it is complimentary.

I liked everything. You can tell they put a lot of love on what they do. Breakfast was included and it was varied (breads, spreads, cereals, eggs, bacon, etc) We couldn’t find anything that we didn’t like or that we could fault. It was beautiful and quiet, short drive to town, we wanted to stay a bit longer! Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone 10/10

Wife and I spent one night prior to Spirit of Tas departure the next morning. Rode from Hobart and was greeted by friendly and obliging hosts and a room that was top shelf and exceeded our expectations....great value and very comfortable.

Wonderful views

Wonderful place to stay with great hosts. We arrived late after our car broke down and the hosts still met us, had the lights on and a wonderful breakfast provisions in the room. Beautiful view and spacious accommodation that easily housed our family of five.

The bathroom floor tiles very slippery. T.V. hard to set for viewing. B and B good food but you must cook it yourself and when on holidays, it isn't what you want to do. A lovely room and view.

Great little unit and property. Comfy and clean.

Great accommodation and service a short drive out of devonport. Comfy and clean room. Kids loved the alpaccas. Breakfast supplies included were great! I'd definitely stay here again if we come back!

A bit out of the way but wonderful accommodation. Quiet with a great outlook. Rooms are really well appointed and well set with good breakfast supplies. Love it.
