The room was more beautiful than the photos. We stayed in the family room and our son had an extra bed in his own area. Thoughtful touches such as lights on the stairs and robes were wonderful. The patio was very large and lovely to have a coffee on in the morning. The town is nice and the Casa is easily accessible from the boat dock and has many good restaurants in close proximity. The manager Katerina, was thoughtful and helpful and made our stay! We highly recommend the Casa Melenia for many reasons, the beautiful rooms, thoughtful host and great location on hydra.

The room was absolutely beautiful and the location is fantastic. Only a very quick walk down to the port with all of it's amazing restaurants. Breakfast was disappointing, and would have been instantly improved with daily fresh bread or similar. The breadsticks & cookies were better to use as a snack to take out on walks around the island. The bed was also not the comfiest (though I realise this is very personal!) the pillows were very hard and difficult to get comfortable on. The mattress was also too firm for my liking (though fine for my husband). A selection of pillows in the room would be a nice gesture towards future guests. Some more information in the room would also have been appreciated, but the lack of this was absolutely made up for by Katerinas availability to help, recommend and answer all questions. Despite not being around during our stay, Katerina was incredibly helpful.She was available on whatsapp and always incredibly prompt with her responses to any questions we had (which was many!) Overall we had an absolutely fantastic few days visiting Hydra and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family!!

Such a cute, well appointed, spacious, well designed property. Couldn’t be better location. Full, well stocked kitchen. Spotless condition. Some negatives (that aren’t deal breakers, but good to be aware of) 1) the new style breakfast is basically a basket of packaged baked goods and a few hard boiled eggs. They really can improve here. 2) we took both apartments. It is a bit quirky styling that happened to work great for our family of 5 plus nanny. But some others may find it odd. 3) there is a supply retail store right below the main bedroom that starts operating early in the morning. And there is some noise. If you’re very sensitive to that it maybe annoying. Not so much for us. However the positives far outweigh anything I’ve listed. Katerina personally met and greeted our family at the port upon arrival and was always available during our stay. And checking in on us to make sure all was good. She provided recommendations and reservations and was kind to offer us some gifts too. Bottom line: real luxury, great, large, usable patio. authentic cute local design totally in tune with the magical island of Hydra. One of the most unique enchanting places on the planet. . Highly recommend Casa Melenia. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Casa Melenia was fantastic. I would stay there again at the drop of a hat. Clean, modern with wonderful amenities (steam shower).
