Disliked: Staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The property looks much better in Expedia photos than it feels in person. Rooms have been renovated but lack basic amenities for comfort.
As someone who travels frequently for work, the checkout experience was very disappointing.
The receptionist was curt and confrontational about their cash-only policy for extras under 50 euros.
This wasn't mentioned at check-in / booking and makes very little sense for Expedia customers who may have pre-paid their room.
Having traveled through multiple countries, I didn't have cash available, and while this initially seemed to be a major problem, the charge was eventually processed by card after the receptionist lectured me about traveling without cash.
The whole situation felt unnecessarily confrontational and put a dampener on my last day.
I don't usually write reviews since most places offer great service with helpful staff.
For a relaxing Alpine experience, I'd suggest looking elsewhere until they provide their front line staff with some better training.
The great thing about the alps is you're not short of choice and the majority of places have helpful friendly staff.
