Mount Errigal Hotel Conference & Leisure Centre

8/10 Good

"Swimming pool & steam room were really nice. We booked a family room & it was no bigger than a double room. 2 small double beds. The window opened wide which we were glad about. The bathroom was tiny & my 15 was nearly the same helight as the shower head. Its a good job we had the leisure centre to shower in. Breakfast was ok however the kids were disappointed there were no pancakes so we didn't pay for breakfast on the Sunday & then found out that they have pancakes on Sunday!! My son ordered the honey chicken for dinner which came with a curry sauce however the next day it didn't come with the sauce. We requested it from staff but were finished our dinner by the time it came. Staff were plesent, and pints were good. Nice outdoor seating area too."

"Twin accessible room was really big. Once we made it through the very heavy bedroom door, the accessibility was impressive. Roll in shower with seat, lots of grab bars. Large room with lots of space for the wheelchair. The beds were close though so only one of them was accessible from one side, the wheelchair couldn't fit between them. Unfortunately the hotel itself only had one accessible entrance, the main entrance on the main street corner. The other entrances did have a nod to a ramp, but not accessible for someone in a wheelchair. There were no disabled parking bays and the carpark had few spaces, especially considering the size of the hotel. The nearest entrance to the hotel from the carpark was through the restaurant and the entrance was not suitable for a wheelchair. This meant taking the wheelchair on the road into the carpark until we reached the dropped kerb, so we could get on the pavement and into the entrance. Staff were all really pleasant and did their best to help where they could. This included a staff member helping me at the buffet breakfast and carrying my plate to my table for me. Side note, provided toiletries consist of hand soap, shampoo and shower cap, so I'd suggest taking your own. You also go through lots of toilet roll as it is the thinnest toilet roll I have ever used. It literally needs to be folded at least 3 times before it can be used."

"The rooms were very clean and comfortable and staff attentive We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and food was very good Breakfast was as good as it gets lots of choice and all fresh If I had a gripe it would be to put USB ports in rooms. But compared to everything else it was no way a deal breaker"

"Convenient location if touring the Inishowen Peninsula. Nice hotel, nice location in lovely grounds. Rooms very nice, restaurant nice, lounge seating area pleasant. Breakfast somewhat disappointing, fresh fruit salad not fresh fruit and consequently taste not what you would expect from a fresh fruit salad. Staff needed more guidance, request for tea/coffee followed by a 10 minute wait and a further request. Did not use the leisure facilities, parking excellent, reception staff very helpful and otherwise itwas a nicelocation to stay in."

"The Inishowen Gateway is a very pleasant spot to stay, with friendly staff; comfortable and quiet rooms; an atmospheric bar; and a well appointed leisure centre, with indoor swimming pool and well equipped gym. The location is not too far from the town centre, the food is tasty, and the overall ambience is one of easy relaxation."
