It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. But the best part was its staff. Warm, genuine. I felt cared about by every staff member I interacted with. Kudos.”

“Fantastic host. Lots of helpful info for dining options and how things work on Skye. Great literature for hikes, maps, etc. ice, mini fridge, microwave and utensils in case you buy takeout. Great conversation with the owner and others at breakfast (which had a huge variety of options) about what else to see in Scotland. On site parking. Definitely would stay again. ”

“The Hotel is little far from the main town of the island, Port Lee, but close to one of must-see spots, Quiraing. The room has fantastic view, cozy interior (like dormitory???), quick warm heating system.”

“Mull is a beautiful island and this hotel the best 👌 We visit Mull for the peace and tranquility with wildlife exploration and it never disappoints. The breakfasts are brilliant and the staff really friendly.”

“ A grand pile in it's day, undergoing a gradual and much needed, refurbishment. The location is it's biggest pull, set quite high above town, with simply stunning views from frontal elevations.The welcome and general ambience proved pleasant and the public areas comfortable, tasteful and pleasing. Our (rear) bedroom was a relatively easy climb up the wide staircase to the first floor. It proved just adequate. Furnishings were functional, but a tad utility and tired, as were fixtures / fittings...
