“One star for the lack of staff. Check in is done online and you are sent a key code to open doors. Not really an issue, except our door would unlock but the doorknob wouldn’t turn. Tried to contact someone through their website (the only contact offered) and never got a reply. We did eventually get into the room after about 10 minutes of entering the code. “I went to Engelberg for a restful weekend of walking and was very happy with my stay. From arrival to departure the ladies who operate the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, and they are well stocked with comforts like snacks and wine (very fairly priced too!) for late night goodies. I would recommend them and hope to stay again another time.”
