"Very charming hotel in Inverness, walking distance to the Inverness castle, and cathedral"

Mercure Inverness Hotel
8/10 Good
"Nice place to stay in the centre not far from the train station lovely view of the river. Could have done with more teabags in the room and more plug sockets. Food was good becareful of coach tours as you may be sat in the lobby at breakfast because they filled out the restaurant"

Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, WorldHotel Distinctive

Glenmoriston Townhouse Hotel

"Great location."

Loch Ness Drumnadrochit Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Now marketed as the Drum Hotel, Expedia should do the same and not use Drumnadrochit Hotel! The room was small for a twin room and very basic for storing clothes etc. Overall the staff were helpful on reception when asked anything about visitor attractions. We only ate one breakfast in the cafe. Would have preferred a proper breakfast room with more obvious element of being served. The cafe had no yoghurt so one breakfast was unavailable and as it was Bank Holiday the reason we didn’t eat again there. The breakfast chosen included a hot drink but as one choice was peppermint instead of breakfast it was attempted to charge £3.95 for the tea bag! This was subsequently refunded but not the 10% service charge. Charging 10% service charge was a rip off as the customer does most of the work, placing an order at the counter, collecting cutlery etc with the cafe staff simply bringing the meal to your table. My advice would be for the cost charged, have the service charge removed."

Waverley Guest House
6/10 Okay
"The staff were friendly at check in. We were a bit worried about some of the reviews listing bed bugs, but no issue with that at all. Our room was newly fitted with carpet, fresh paint and new beds. Our room was clean, but had a couple of cobwebs and one garbage hadn't been emptied. The bathroom ceiling fan is falling out of the ceiling and leaked continuously when it was raining. The shower didn't drain well and it was hard to find a sweet spot for shower temperature. (barely warm to extremely hot). Continental breakfast was included one day and milk jugs were left out for hours. The worse thing was the nightclub attached in the building kitty corner it was really obnoxiously loud and we did not get much sleep. Bring earplugs if staying on a Friday or Saturday. night."

Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality
4/10 Poor
"Dingy and not too clean. Rooms had peeling paint and weren’t cleaned very well. No amenities. Not worth the price. But the receptionist (Alan?) was amazing."
