โIf one is interested in "glitz", the Oloffson is not your place. It is very full of history (read Graham Greene's The Comedians, set here during Duvalier years). The place and rooms are unique, clean, certainly functional and with fascinating grounds.โ
โThis is a budget hotel, and located in a fairly tough area of Port-au-Prince. The room was basic, but spacious. It had only a tiny bit of warm water. The air conditioner thankfully worked.
No one on the staff could speak much English. They provided a free shuttle to the airport.
I would probably not stay there again, but if you are on a very tight budget, you can get by for a night.โ
โThe price is reasonable not expensive but not cheap.
especially, I want to have breakfast. it is really good. fresh fruits. etc.
Dont worry, It will not be disappointed.โ
