“I had a sea view and the view was absolutely stunning. The room was good, bed really comfortable and clean, bathroom clean and seemed relatively new. Water pressure not the best but it's an old building. Looked like someone had spilled bleach on the carpet at the bathrrom door but was clean apart from that. Plenty drawers and wardrobe space. I ate in the restaurant one night and it was nice, good choice and tasty. Maybe a bit old fashioned but it fits with the hotel, which is an old character...

“Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi”

“A wonderful stay over before catching the Islay ferry next morning. We loved the common rooms and patios, with other guests ready to meet you and talk. The dining room is a beautiful hlassed-in room with a great view and food. LOVED the local mussels!
Our room was in the newer section, comfortable bed and roomy bath. Only complaint was that the bathtub plug wouldn't seal, so I couldn't take a bath.
The staff were so accomodating. We would definitely come back again!”
