The room we got was nothing like the one advertised it was much smaller and self catering was practically impossible. There are people who apparently live here that get up at 5am very noisily and if you need a lie in after an interupted nights sleep you probably won't get your room cleaned or provisions stocked up. breakfast consists of coffee, long-life cakes, yoghurts, butter and jam and bread left in your room. Quite a walk into the town itself. Main outside terrace was out of use due to maintenance which was noisy in the daytime. Friendly people though but wouldn't stay again

Quiet place

The first night the room was very cold. I had to wear clothes in bed. I told the host she was apologetic and helpful. She turned the heat up, wanting to be helpful it was on all night I was very hot by now! Globally the place is in a very quiet street, above the lake. There is a nice kitchennette in the room with basic things on offer. The host is kind and friendly

Schönes, ruhiges Zimmer im Grünen mit Seeblick.

Das B&B liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse. Die Gastgeber sprechen neben italienisch auch englisch und sind sehr nett. Das Zimmer ist sauber, das Bett groß und bequem mit separatem WC und Dusche. Der moderne TV, bietet leider nur italienische Sender. Es gibt typisches italienisches Frühstück zum Selbstmachen auf dem Zimmer mit Kaffee, Joghurt, verschiedenen Marmeladen und Toast und separat verpackte Küchlein. Der schön angelegte Garten in Hanglage zum See hin bietet schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir waren an Ostern hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Beautiful lakeside B&B with most wonderful owners!

We stayed at B&B Tana Della Volpe as we had family staying down the road in Barzola. The B&B lived up to previous high ratings, with a beautiful lakeside view, in a very quiet location. The owners, Simona and her father Giovanni, were so wonderfully welcoming, allowing our daughter to stay with us for a few nights for a smal additional fee with the sofa bed made up for her already. As Ispra is quite quiet and there is a limited bus service from the town (a ten to fifteen minute walk away) Simona and Giovanni were very kind to offer us lifts to Ispra ferry port, but also to Angera a little further away (with a more frequent service), which allowed us to take boats to Arona, Stresa and the Isole Boromee. Honestly, Simona and Giovanni made our stay what it was, and we do hope to keep in touch with them! If you want a quiet lakeside getaway, and don't mind walking a little, the Ispra ferry port is only about a 25 minute walk away, and the area is quiet but felt safe. The guesthouse is beautiful with little tables and parasols with lake views dotted around the site for breakfast and reading time. The East coast is quieter than the West coast of the lake, but this place is beautiful to stay in, and you will be will looked after by the wonderful family that own this B&B. Gutes Hotel für Ausflüge

Haben von diesem B&B mehrere Tagesausflüge unternommen und daher nicht allzu viel Zeit dort verbracht. Es genügt, um zu schlafen und die Küche genügt, um sich ein Abendbrot zu machen. Die Besitzer der Hotels waren sehr nett und konnten auch einige gute Tipps für Restaurants und Badestrände in der Nähe geben. Alles in allem ist das B&B völlig ausreichend, um als Ausgangspunkt für Tagestouren zu dienen, jedoch wollte ich nicht den ganzen Tag dort verbringen.

Leider nichts für Schimmelallergiker. Frühstück bescheiden aber alles da. Man kann es sich selbst zubereiten und ist dadurch unabhängig. Schöner Sitzplatz draußen mit Blick auf den See. Leider vergitterte Fenster. Eines der 3 Zimmer hat allerdings eine unvergitterte Tür direkt nach draußen, von den anderen beiden Zimmern muss man ums Haus herum auf die Terasse gehen.

Excellent stay at a comfortable B&B

My wife and I had a great stay at this B&B. We were treated very warmly by the owner who went out of her way to help us solve an issue with our baggage. The owner speaks excellent English. We had stayed at an upscale nearby hotel previously but felt much more comfortable and welcome in this B & B. The view is also really nice outside of the house and the garden is beautiful. If you are interested in visiting Ispra, I give this accommodation my strongest recommendation.

Verständigung auf Deutsch kaum möglich. TV-kein deutscher Empfang. Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Das Apartment ist super gelegen mit tollen Blick auf den See.

Location molto bella, nel verde, e con vista lago.

Essendo arrivati in largo anticipo, rispetto all'orario per il ceck-in, ho apprezzato molto, che la proprietaria dell'hotel, con molta gentilezza, ci abbia comunque ricevuti, e sistemati. Hotel sicuramente da consigliare!

Lit confortable. Privacy pas top.

En general tres bien, le proprietaire est gentil, aucun souci. La seule chose est que on a pas trop de privacy a' cause de la proximite' des chambres et l'utilisation de la cuisine en commun. Mais sinon, c'etait tres bien, avec une tres belle vue sur le Lac Maggiore.

A peaceful place on Lago Maggiore

This B&B, in the small town of Ispra on the shore of Lago Maggiore, is a lovely place to stay, with very friendly proprietors (who do speak excellent English). Ask for the “Room with a View” and a spectacular view (weather permitting!) it is. This room, while small, has an adjacent bathroom, and is light and airy with big picture windows looking out on the lake and garden of the property. The room has a lockable door leading to a small kitchen (which is shared with the other room for let downstairs). In the kitchen, you find ample breakfast supplies (coffee, tea, juice, water, bread for toast, fruit, etc.) and a great espresso machine and microwave. Internet is free and the connection is fast. Overall, a great place to stay, and close to the Ispra research complex.

Une vue splendide sur le lac majeur

Arrivée de nuit, il est difficile de juger le lieu. C'est assez difficile à trouver. Sans indication. Et nous avons vraiment l'impression d'arriver chez des gens qui ont aménagés leurs garage en chambres d’hôtes...Ce qui reste dommage c'est que la partie "cuisine-breakfast" est à partager avec la chambre d'a coté (donc chambres très proches...) et de ne pas présenter (comme c'était montré sur le site) les parties communes telles que le jardin ou une pièce de séjour. Sinon avec une petite chambre simple, propre avec une vue sur le lac... On ne peut pas se plaindre trop pour le rapport qualité/prix!!

Une parfaite étape pour sillonner le lac Majeur

Un propriétaire vraiment sympathique et soucieux d'aider (nos bagages sont arrivés avec 72 h de retard de l'aéroport et il s'est occupé de tout pour nous) et une chambre avec une très belle vue sur le lac. Une localisation idéale et un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Une parfaite étape pour sillonner le lac Majeur.
