The team are so welcoming from the moment you enter the hotel. A boutique, family-run hotel, they are extremely friendly and genuinely care about their guests enjoying their stay in Istanbul. The location makes it easy to get around the city. Highly recommend, especially if you value a more personal approach to your stay.

Great room located right near the Galata Tower and easy transport links to the main attractions (Sultanahmet, Eminonu etc). Staff are so friendly and there is even a cat who guides you to your room! Very quiet location - although the hotel is located next to a mosque’s loudspeaker, so you will be awoken by the call to prayer in the morning. For non-Muslims, you get used to it though.

At Doruk Palas, the staff are what make the stay worth it. While I stayed at two other hotels, this is the only one that didn’t have a corporate feel about it. They are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make sure you are welcome. The lobby feels like going to a coffee shop with friends. The location was excellent too. Don’t stay at an overpriced touristy hotel. Stay at Doruk Palas to get an authentic Istanbul experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Istanbul. The location couldn’t have been better—everything was within walking distance, making it so easy to explore the city’s beautiful attractions, restaurants, and cafés. What truly made this stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and made us feel more like guests than customers. If you’re looking for a hotel with an unbeatable location and the most amazing, caring staff, I highly recommend staying here. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Istanbul!

Welcoming and friendly reception staff. Two cute cats were sitting on the couch by reception area :) I had the queen size bed and could see the blue Mosque from my window. They say room with balcony but not much of a balcony to stand on. Room is good size if you're a couple or solo. If you have kids, you might want to go with a bigger size room. The shower size is good but the shower head was moldy and dirty. The water flow wasn't great either. They need to upgrade to a better shower head. Galata tower and shops are within 10 minutes walk. There is an alley to get to the hotel. Since all businesses nearby close early, it can be so quiet at night, could be a little scary especially if you're walking back to the hotel late night. Breakfast was Turkish but if you want omelet, they can make it for you. Overall good location, friendly staff and decent hotel.

A great location for the Galata Tower and Istiklal Caddesi, staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, a nice breakfast, lots of restaurant options within walking distance, close to all transit. The street its on is a little gritty but was safe. Our room had a great view and a balcony, the room was a good size and comfortable

We were booked here through Expedia when our VRBO fell through. Expedia made a mistake and gave my friend and I a room with only one bed. The staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating to go out of their way and change our room. Throughout our stay everyone was extremely polite and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel

This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to Istanbul! The location is perfect—close to so many of the city’s must-see attractions, great restaurants, and public transportation, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The staff truly deserve five stars. They are some of the kindest, friendliest, and most welcoming people we’ve met. They were always happy to help, offered great recommendations, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. And of course, I can’t forget the hotel’s sweetest resident Osman, the adorable lobby cat! He greeted us every day and instantly became part of our Istanbul memories. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to have him as a visitor in your room too. 🐈❤️ We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
