This is an ok budget hotel in the downtown core of Istanbul. It is clean, and their staff members are all awesome. My room was decent-sized, but the window was fake - it did not face the outside, but some some kind of internal wall, so I could not see the street at all, and it was always dark, pretty much like a basement. The elevator is small, and at times it was out of order. Breakfast was decent. Soundproofing was lacking, and I could hear everything on the floor. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was good enough. I would like to thank all members of staff for the welcoming atmosphere.

I have stayed 4 nights in the Golden Crown accommodation with pleasure. The staff is very helpful, nice and friendly. We had a tv and minibar in the room. Also there are many things to do near the hotel. I give this hotel and staff 1000 points for sure😁 Next time i will come back to this hotel! Greetz Usha❣

The hotel is extremely dated and needs a facelift. I felt misled when i arrived and saw the rooms. The beds are entirely too small as well.

Крайне недоброжелательный человек на стойке регистрации... В аннонсе отеля написано про заезд в после 14 дня. Приехали в 15 и еще полчаса ждали. Кстати, из-за пробок в этом месте, такси не смогло доехать до отеля, шли пешком с чемоданами около 300 метров. Были забронированы две комнаты, предложили человеку (который должен был жить в одной из них), поселить в другой отель. Только обещание пожаловаться в hotels.com позволило жить (все-таки) в одном отеле. Неуютно. Единственное, что приятно порадовало - в санузле вода текла и уходила нормально. Люди, часто пользующиеся отелями, знают - это основная проблема в отелях. На тройку с минусом. Не советую...

Der Standort des Hotels ist gut.
Hotel ist uns bekannt. Diesmal kein Baulärm. Eine Woche Istanbul sollte man jedes Jahr einlegen. Die Stadt lebt und die Türken sind nette Leute.

Great location and very nice hotel rooms
The service was fantastic, the rooms were very nice- spacious and very modern- the free breakfast was great. And the location is unbeatable.

Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig! Zimmer zur Strasse sind nachts von ca 23.00 bis 6.00 zur Strasse in Ordnung . sonst ist Schlafen fast nicht möglich. Interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreichbar. Für Rollstuhlfahrer fast unmöglich, da die Strassen einen Anstieg und Gefälle von einer roten Skiabfahrt haben. Gilt für europäischen Teil wie für asiatischen Teil. Essenpreise sind westeuropäischen Preisen vergleichbar, wenn auch alkoholische Getränke deutlich teurer sind .

Good location - walking distance main attractions
Booking was lost however staff quickly arranged alternate accommodation at a hotel close by, paid for the taxi and return in the morning. A bit inconvenient but handled well be the staff. Room smallish but otherwise ok. We had a room at the front which was noisy in till about midnight.

Hotel ligt op een heel erg goede locatie. Vanaf hier is alles goed bereikbaar te voet of met openbaarvervoer. Hotel is verder eenvoudig maar prima voor een stedentrip. Het ontbijt is minimaal en kan naar mijn idee wel iets beter. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is echt prima. Ik zou zo weer terug gaan bij mijn volgende stedentrip.

Rather cramped for two and sound insulation disappointing so prone to noise. But cleaned every day and fresh linen provided. Hot water good. Breakfast OK but rather monotonous.

Right in the Heart of Istanbul
I'll start by saying the FREE breakfast was probably the best I've had at any hotel, bar none. Several cheeses, pears, bananas, omelettes with sausage, pastries of bakery quality, everything beautifully arranged. Then there is the location... We walked to the Grand Bazaar, New Mosque, Galata Bridge. Maybe it was the town, maybe it was the hotel, but Istanbul is now one of my favorite cities in the world. I WANT MORE!

L'hotel est très bien placé. En plein coeur du centre historique, de la Blue Mosque, Sainte Sophie, le Bazaar, etc... Hotel propre et très correct et dans une rue tranquille. La seule déception est sur la superficie de la chambre. Les photos du site sont très trompeuses. La chambre était petite. Un seul tabouret pour 2 ; pas de commode de rangement. Pour deux, c'est vraiment juste. Mais je n'hésiterai pas à le recommander en précisant ce défaut ! Quant aux petits-déjeuners, le buffet est convenable et très classique.

Bra hotell, rätt läge nära allt vi ville vara. 1 av 3 i personalen verkar känna till vad gäster frågar efter, trots många broschyrer i receptionen. Ledningen behöver inspirera personalen att känna till mer om närområdet med mer sevärdheter. Spealr ju ingen roll när surfat in allt redan innan avresa. Frukosten duger, men är tråkigare än på flyget. Var är inspirationen?

Förstår inte att det kan ha 4 stjärnor. Känns mer som 2 eller max 3. Trevlig personal (som dock hade lite problem med engelskan), men inte mycket till frukost. Läget på hotellet var bra. Nära till sevärdheter och shopping.

Really bad hotel in a convenient location
The place was really easy to get to from the Cemberlitas tram stop, but from there on, everything about the Golden Crown was disappointing. The service was disinterested (if not contemptuous). The room was small and had only been superficially cleaned. I had requested a double bed, and got two tiny twins separated by a night stand. It stank of smoke, and one of the first things I saw was a large insect crawling on my pillow. Breakfast was the most disappointing (cold eggs, bad fruit) that we had in Turkey. Maybe most frustrating was that they advertised a 5-Euro shuttle to the airport, but when we asked about it (the day before), they said, "So sorry, it's full," without acting particularly concerned or offering any suggestions or alternatives. The much cheaper budget hostel where we stayed earlier in our trip was superior in almost every regard. Go with that option if you visit Istanbul.

good time
The hotel is in a great location to the train and the main attractions. The only thing I didn't like about my room was that the room was always pretty hot. Thankfully every night was pretty chilly so we were able to keep the window open to get a breeze.

Klimaanlage eine Katastrophe
Hotel liegt sehr zentral und wäre eine gute Option wenn die zentrale Klimaanlage richtig funktionieren würde. Ist aber eher eine schlechte Lüftung und kann nicht wirklich gesteuert werden. Fenster öffnen ist aufgrund des Lärms auf der Strasse nicht möglich. Obwohl Oktober und nur 25 Grad tagsüber war es im Zimmer unerträglich heiß. Hotel daher nicht zu empfehlen.
