Very nice, small hotel.
Me, and my friend stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and there is no criticism from us. Fresh towels every day, clean room and bathroom. Very nice elderly man helped with everything we needed. I intend to use this hotel again!

Do not choose h room #101. he noise from waste pipes will not let you sleep well. very good location.

Great time in nice place
Perfect localisation, main attractions like Haga Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topcapi Palace on foot distance. Which saves a lot of time in queues to get the tickets to the museums and sites. Not a very big hotel, but cosy and clean. Breakfast in hotel near by with astonishing panoramic view on main attractions and Bosphorus. Very friendly owner and the rest of the staff. Easy way to get from the airport by Havaist shuttle bus service to Sultanahmet. Wonderful stay, wonderful memories of the moments in İstanbul

Muy buena experiencia! Creo que la mejor, el Hotel es muy pequeñito pero tiene todo lo que se necesita, muy bien ubicado y “limpio”. Lo mejor de todo es la atención, el personal increiblemente amable, siempre dispuesto a ayudar! Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

it is a very small hotel. The rooms are done with a local touch which is nice. The bathroom with the bath tub you can sin in is great. Kettle and fridge in the roo. Breakfast is good and taken in a bigger hotel next door on the rooftop with great scenery. the manager M. Gurhan became our private turist information center. Clean hotel but would need to give a good wash and white to the curtains ( just me being picky)

Good value
The location of the hotel is without a doubt beyond perfect if you intend to do sightseeing in Istanbul. All the main sights in Sultanahmet are within walking distance and public transport connects the hotel with the rest of Istanbul very well. One thing to consider before booking this hotel, is the relatively small size of the rooms and the bathroom. For short stays it should not be a big issue but if you're staying for more than 3-4 nights, you might want to look elsewhere. Probably the biggest issues for us were a distinctive smell of sewage and noise. The most disturbing was the noise of running water when people in other rooms were showering or using the toilet, especially at night. To conclude, we had a nice stay at Hotel Merial. You get a good value for the price you pay. However, be sure you are ready to make concessions as regards the issues I explained above.

I was treated like a family member by the manager. He was extremely helpful and always ready to give me advises and information. The breakfast included in a nearby restaurant with a panoramic view was a great way to start the day. If you are looking for a comfortable room very close to all the main attractions that Istanbul has to offer, look no further !

Nice Hotel close to all attractions
Very small hotel, but it was exactly what we wanted. It was quiet and clean and close to all the main attractions which was in walking distance. The staff were friendly and willing to help. Thanks again Merial hotel.

It is very well located and is a practical hotel
This hotel is not for fancy travelers. It is nice and small. For me was a nice hotel because has all the things that I expect: a good bed, nice and simple bath, air conditioned and full of small details. There is not a restaurant inside but I do not miss It because is surrounded with a lot of restaurants (small ones, expensive ones, any kind) The service is excellent and everybody are disposal to help you. The hotel is for short time trips. This hotel is for lonely travelers or maybe two. Not recomended with kids.

Une service a la turque
Quelle service. Merci encore a Engin, le concierge de la journee. Il ma aide de trouver mon pere qui a eu un probleme de visa. Il a passe des heures au telephone pour telephoner lapolice a laeroport. Apres il m'a aussi aider de trouver la valise de mon pere. Tous le mnde etait genial. Tout le monde etait vraiment sympa. Lhotel est tres bien situe, a pied pour tout. Meme de mosque bleu. Demandez une chambre derriere pour ne pas avoir le brui de la rue et les chants de la mosque. Le petit dejeuner est sur le toit avec une vue magnifique a presque de 360 degrees. Cest un tre bon rapport qualite prix, pour le placemen et la service. Ces dommage que ils ont perdu 90 % de touristes en tuquie. Cest vraiment un beau pays avec des gens le plus accueillant que jai vu. Jai voyage dansplus de 50 pays. Cest la pemiere foisque je me senscomme chez moi.

service was 200% . Turkish people were the nicest. And this hotel was full proof of it. My dad had visa issues problem. We were supposed to meet at thehotel. After 4 hours of waiting for him, i started getting really worried. special thanks t Engin who spent hours on the phone caling the airport lookingformy Dad. After 10 hrs we finally found that he was sent back. At least i was assured that he was safe, thanks to the help of engin. He even helped me look for my Dad's lost luggage after. That is what you call A class service. as for the rooms, just make sure to ask for the rooms not facing the streets to avoid thenoise of the street and mosque. Otherwise, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable for European standards.

住宿房间比较小，但是干净整洁一应俱全，早晨的早餐经验了我们，楼顶欣赏整个伊斯坦布尔历史区域的美景，都不用出门观光了。

Ottimo albergo, vicinissimo a due fermate del tram e a tutte le attrazioni di sultanahmet, letteralmente a due passi. Il personale dell' albergo è presente ma estremamente discreto. Bello l'arredamento e comoda la presenza di minifrigo e occorrente per la preparazione del te. Ottima la colazione, sia dolce che salata, da effettuarsi sulla bella terrazza panoramica di un hotel di fronte. Ci tornerei, consigliatissimo!

Highly recommended!!
Excellent location. LOVED the room, especially the bathroom. Had an electric kettle in the room to make tea. Best wifi of our trip. The breakfast in the panarwmic restaurant was unbelievable. The food was spectacular, lots to choose from, sweet and savory, lots of beverage options -- and a BREATHTAKING, 360 degree view of the city. Great value. Would happily stay here again.

Best breakfast ever and location
They have breakfast on the roof, it is very nice for the price (see pictures). Location is nice, all attractions within the walking distance. Taxi from airport to the hotel - 50 TL. I will recommend to all my friends, and if i will visit Istanbul again - i'll stay there. The hotel staff is nice and friendly, last day we kept our baggage from checkout till the evening at the hotel lobby , no problem. Outside the hotel there is bike rental company (you may find them on the web, the only bike rental company in Istanbul) but the city is very difficult to ride - many of the streets are steep,

Отличный отель!
Приятный маленький отель, завтрак сервируют в соседнем отеле, есть возможность завтракать на понорамной крыше, откуда открывается очень красивый вид на Стамбул. Расположение отличное, прямо в центре, 4 минуты до всех достопримечательностей, но ночью никакого шума. Полотенца меняли каждый день, когда уходили на завтрак, и за три дня один раз поменяли простыни. Красивый номер в восточном стиле, приглушенный свет, резные изголовье кровати, шкаф и двери. Большой сан узел. Хороший вай-фай в номере. Единственный минус- кондиционер дул прямо на кровать и вид из окна на какой -то заброшенный дворик. Но это окно занавешено красивыми шторами и когда вы придете после долгих прогулок по Стамбулу, вам будет не до вида из окна) очень советую этот отель

Good Hotel Great Staff
Small intimate hotel minutes from all major attractions. The best part of the hotel was Sophie the woman on the desk. Very helpful and a stellar personality.

Première nuit réveil catastrophe à 1h30 ..............un tremblement de terre !! un train traverse la chambre !! non un groupe électrogène qui relaie l'EDF turc en cas de problème vient de démarrer à moins de 10 m de notre chambre du rez de chaussée ..............bruit supérieur à 80 db dans la chambre !!!!!!!!!!!!! Durée 3 minutes................ Deuxième nuit idem, moins de stress parce que boules quies et déjà l'habitude !!!! le responsable de nuit nous montre qu'il n'y a plus d'éclairage dans les rues et nous propose un café !!!!!!................lecture en attendant que cela passe Durée 35mm .................. Le lendemain grosse colère et attitude gênée du staff ..........mais ne peut rien faire, pas d'autre chambre libre . Troisième nuit ...................... pas de bruit ............super Le lendemain ils insistent pour que nous aménagions dans , je pense , la plus belle chambre de l' hôtel....quatrième nuit idyllique !!!!!!!!!!!! Dommage, à ceci près l'hôtel est parfaitement situé, les petits déjeuners buffet excellents dans un cadre magnifique avec vues sur Topkapi ..la mosquée bleue.. Ste Sophie.. le Bosphore ..............

Our stay at Merial Hotel was quite amazing. The location is superb, I seriously doubt there are better located hotels in Sultanahmet. Although not very big, the hotel room was of satisfying size, and the interior of the hotel was very nice.

Hotel inmitten von Sehenswürdigkeiten
Nicht weit vom Bahnhof und den Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten wie Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, Topkapi und Basar. Auch die Fähranleger sind in der Nähe. Zu jedem der genannten Punkte sind es zu Fuß maximal 15 Minuten. Das Hotelpersonal ist toll. Eine Empfehlung von mir für Rucksacktouristen wie mich. Preiswert!!!

Long weekend in Istanbul
My wife and I spent a long weekend in Istanbul at this hotel. It is perfectly situated with the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia only a five minute walk away. It is also close to stops on the T1 tram line, which connects to the airport. Would definitely recommend.

время пребывания: 17-21 апреля 2015. Были в Стамбуле с семьей с целью осмотра достопримечательностей. Отель вполне удовлетворил запросам: не дорого, в шаговой доступности от основных объектов. Чисто, уютно, по-домашнему. Очень отзывчивый и любезный персонал. С удовольствием остановились бы еще раз. Впечатления самые приятные.

"Great location & friendly staff!"
Location was phenomenal – one long block from the park between the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Tram stops in two different directions (Sultanahmet, Gulhane), each a five minute walk from the hotel. Very convenient to come after lunch and have a rest especially when you are traveling with small children. The room was a little small, it was being cleaned every day so carefully as if it was their own house. The bed is comfortable. All the bathroom necessities, towels, sleepers are provided. The elevator is small but it was good to have one. Staff is helpful .Breakfast is across the street on the top floor of the Adamar Hotel. Great selection of fruits, pastries, yogurts, etc., including cooked to order omelets and crepes. And the view from upper floor is fabulous!! You can see Bosphorus, Blue Mosk, Hagia Sophia and almost all Istanbul around. We really enjoyed it and we surely recommend it to anyone.
