"This was one of THE best experiences I have ever had in all of my travels, including the two weeks in Japan. "Wonderful experience. Morning prayer fire ceremony with the tour of the temple was unforgettable. The temple has a piece of Buddha ashes. Shojin Ryori (Buddhist meal) was delicious and amazing. I would definitely be back for solo trip in the future. "

"Tucked away above the bar/cafe, this onsen was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very traditional in the Japanese style, and we had access to the entire area as we were the only guests staying on that night. The staff were completely lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets were well kept and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Koyasan. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Friendly ryokan style hotel with onsen and hot-stone sauna. Our room had a nice outdoor shower and private onsen. The restaurant served amazing food. It’s a popular family onsen, so expect it to be lively, especially during weekends. Absolutely recommended. "
