I was in Jaipur for about 5 days. Felt totally safe and comfortable here. The food at the rooftop restaurant is okay ( Didn't make me sick! :D ) and the view from the roof is spectacular -- I thought it was a really great place to hang out and drink tea in the morning, check out the birds. One morning I saw peacocks walking around on the fort ( which is smaller than it seems online, but drivers in town still usually knew where it was ). Ajmer Road has banks, ATMs, convenient stores that are walking distance from the hotel. Some cons: on my last morning, I actually got locked in my room. The key-locks are pretty old fashion and my room wouldn't unlock from the inside. I had to call the front desk and slide my key under the door. Also, (not the hotel's fault exactly) but prepare to be really hustled by the auto drivers outside. I once called an uber scooter, and he refused to take me after being surrounded my auto drivers who shouted something at him in Hindi as soon as he arrived. It was sketchy. They're really pushy and were rude to the women I was with. That was honestly the worst part: having to deal with those guys every time I left in the morning.
