At first the impression was not 100% but the friendliness of the staff made us feel very comfortable in the end. The location is breathtaking, although it is a steep hill to get up to from the Old City. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Bus 207 que sale a 100 metros de la puerta de Damasco te deja en el Hotel, esta a un lado de lugares turísticos. Eso salva al Hotel y la disposición del personal de recepción y de restaurante. Lo malo de este hotel es que le falta mucha limpieza, la alfombra tenía olor a humedad, llovia y el agua se metia por la ventana, el baño estaba mal lavado y con hongos en la puerta de ducha. El restaurante las sillas muy sucias.

Benchè vicino alla Lions Gate, essendo in cima al monte è raggiungibile a piedi solo tramite una ripida salita (circa 20min) o con l'autobus. Le finestre non hanno i doppi vetri, quella del bagno non si chiudeva ma rimaneva solo accostata, pertanto ci voleva coraggio a spogliarsi e fare la doccia (a dicembre a Gerusalemme fa freddo). Very simple but excellent location on top of Mt. of Olives. Rooms are no-frills but clean. They although have a few upgraded rooms,so if you ask polite you might get one. We will definately be back

Worst stay..save your money.book with someone else
When I arrived no one was there and the doors were locked. after standing out side the hotel and calling several times someone finally came to the door where I was told they over booked so I was given there worst room 120..it was so bad even the manager apologized and said hopefully they could get another room the next day..I walked in to a room with trash on the floor a bed that had obviously been slept in, dirty toilet and sink with Mold Growing out of control around the tube..these conditions I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy the next day I begged the staff to switch and they finally changed me rooms to the other side of the hotel where the same conditions reappeared..except this time I could hear every car horn from the street ..because of these conditions I became Sick And was forced to leave the trip Of a life time. This hotel s a disgrace and should be condemned, the service is only equivalent to one word: useless. This was the greatest waste of money and resources of my entire trip. It is a shame and a travesty that establishments of this quality are allowed to advertise on Expedia, based off this experience I would never book with Expedia again or advise anyone to do so. This travel agency should have better vetted there hotel options in this region of the world before offering it as a safe, reliable and clean accommodations. This hotel needs to be removed from this listing at once to keep with the integrity of this travel agency. I stand behind every word !

オリーブ山の頂上にあり、隣は昇天教会です。近くに教会も沢山あり、坂はきついですが歩いていけます。とても良い所でした。 ホテルの人も優しくて、サービスも良いです。 部屋にはシャンプーや、ドライヤーはありません。 部屋もどんどん改装して行ってるみたいで綺麗な部屋と少し古い部屋がありますが、それでも十分だと思います。

Noget slidt hotel i arabisk område. Kræver bus/taxi fra den gamle by. Værelserne godt brugte, og minareten 50 meter fra hotellet sørgede for at støje på forskellige tider af døgnet. Morgenmaden OK. Prisen lav, men man får absolut heller ikke mere end man betaler for. Ville en anden gang vælge andet hotel.

Estrem laut bei Tag und Nacht. Stark abgewohnt, Reinlichkeit nur bedingt vorhanden, Dreck vom Vorgänger(in) lag auch nach 2 Tagen noch auf dem Boden. Beim Frühstück ging Kaffee aus, interessierte aber niemanden, obwohl 3 Mann herumstanden. Postitiv: Bus für 5 Schekel (ca. 1€) in 10 Min direkt in die City.

　当初、リーズナブルな価格と景色の良さに惹かれて自分でこのホテルを予約をしましたが、現地の友人から「待った」の声が。｢今日ホテルを下見してきたが、立地が悪すぎる、他のホテルを予約し直せ｣とのこと。正直面倒だったのですが、結局このホテルには泊まらず、他のホテルに泊まりました。なので、このホテルの部屋、サービスなどの良し悪しは全然わかりません。しかし、現地で観光中、マウントオリーブ麓の教会群に足を運んだとき、友人の言っていた意味がよくわかりました。マウントオリーブ、まず市の中心から離れていてアクセスが悪い。麓に着くだけで、徒歩だったら10分はかかりますよ。そして、坂がとても急！観光目的で来るならともかく、私には、１日の観光で疲れた体で、夜このホテルに辿り着くのは到底無理だと思えました。特に女性の場合、暗くなってからこんな山道を歩くのは危険だと思います。ただ、私の場合タクシー、バスを使ってホテルに行くケースは考慮していないので、そういった交通機関を使っても問題ない、という方なら話はまた別かと思います。

Within walking distance of Old City.
Although the hotel was satisfactory for us, I definitely don't think it's a place where most Americans would want to stay. Everyone should know that it is in the Arab section of the city and is quite seedy by American standards. However, the staff were quite nice to us and, after our first initial shock, it seemed to be very safe and we felt secure all the time. It really is a beautiful setting with a beautiful view of the Old City. We think it is a good deal for the price, if you know all of the above.

A DUMP
This hotel is a dump. The guests should be paid to stay there. Our room was absolutely filthy. We did however have the housekeeping staff knocking on our door before 08.00 the next morning requesting entry to clean! We requested they came back later as we weren't dressed. The room was still filthy when we returned. The bedding left a lot to be disrired. Very rough sheets and dirty blankets. The bathroom was also a joke. No holder for the loo roll so it had to sit on the side of the bath or on the floor. We requested a room with a bath tub. The bath tub was very narrow, with a ledge type seat which left very little room for you to stand up/manoeuvre. My sister found bathing in this quite frightening as she was scared of falling. We requested a room at the back of the hotel so as to not be kept awake by the noise from the road. We were instead kept awake by the noise of the barking dogs and the mosque. There is very little in the way of facilities in the area. If we decide to visit Jerusalem again, we will definitely stay within the city.

Rummet var ganska stort för priset, men kändes rätt sunkigt. Helt okej dock för att bara sova i. Problemet var dock att det blev mörkt tidigt så vi spenderade rätt mycket tid inne på rummet... Området blir rätt dött efter mörkrets inbrott. Det är en rejäl promenad från Gamla Stan i Jerusalem, vi gick upp och ner för de extremt branta backarna men det är bara för den hurtfriske. Det finns dock en buss som man kan ta in till stan, nr 75 om jag minns rätt. Inga restauranger i området, förutom någon grönsaksbutik, några små livs och ett falafelställe. Wi-fi:t funkade bra. Hjälpsamma i receptionen och frukosten var helt okej; mycket att välja på men inte jättefräsch.

Personnel tres aceuillant et a l ecoute. Hotel sur les hauteurs, il faut prendre le bus 75 car a pied c est pas facil. L hotel est pas bien insonorise prevoir des bouchons. Chambre avec tele et salle de bain, il n y a pas de seche cheveux et de tele dans tte les chambres par contre. Moquette dans le couloir et chambre avec des taches. Petit dejeuner local plutot sale.

Outstanding Location!
Wonderful Experience. Hotel is next door to Mosque of the Ascension, constructed on the site of a church built in 380 AD commemorating Christ's Ascension. It is also 100 meters from the Church of the Lord's Prayer (Paternoster), a five minute walk from the Garden of Gethsemane, and a 15 minute walk down the Mt. of Olives to the Old City. We had a wonderful time. Because the hotel is in "East Jerusalem" some Israeli taxi guides will refuse to go to "the other side of the tracks," or they will want to charge extra to get there. Find out before you get in the cab, if the taxi or sherut will charge extra to go to the Mt. of Olives. This obviously is a statement more about the taxi drivers than the hotel. Our family, four kids ages 6-11, had a great time staying there, and I would recommend it to all families on a budget and ready for a more cultural experience.

Nice, old hotel
Old and strongly worn out hotel, but good place, nice staff, great breakfast. There are bus next to hotel, which bring you to Damaskus gate. All that is needed for very tired traveller after long and surprising day in Jerusalem.

Great location
Friendly service. For a 2.5 star hotel we got what we paid for. Rooms were a good size and comfortable new beds and linen. They were basic but that is what I expected but they were clean. We spent hardly anytime there so we were not worried the too served a purpose. It was great as right by the Church of the holy ascension and they you could work your way down from the Mount of Olives to see the main sights in the old city. Some females may be intimidated by the local neighbour as it is an Islamic neighbourhood with mainly men on the streets but we as 2 females felt fine and people were very courteous and friendly towards us. For the price we paid a night inc of breakfast it was good value. The dinner you can get a 3 course home cooked (has to be requested that morning) is very good value for $15 pp and the breakfast buffet is typical of a breakfast in the Middle East which we loved as lots of choice and healthy options. Great service the staff were friendly and helpful. I would most definitely stay there again . The only one down side is it may be a little noisy for some if you get a room on the same side of the main road and there is a mosque right next door but the call for prayer at 5am is very short and did not really disturb us.

Für Leute, die preiswert übernachten wollen ist es OK gewesen. Aber halt weit ab von der Innenstadt. Eine Busfahrt von 10-15 min (nur bis 21 Uhr) behinderte das abendliche Sozialleben. Das Hotelpersonal war freundlich. Der Küchenbereich war für deutsche Standards gewöhnungsbedürftig.

旧市街から毎日歩ける距離ではありません。ホテルからの景色がいいとのことでしたが、どこがでしょうか？はじめ、日本の家のバスルームくらいの窓なしの部屋に通されました。愕然としフロントでごねたらやっとまあまあ普通の広さの部屋をくれましたが・・・ このホテルはある意味安心できるネットでとるようなホテルではないのでは。Ｂパッカー時代に300円くらいで泊まっていたレベルです。ただ朝食は満足できました。

Jeg bodde på hotellet sammen med mine foreldre i midten av oktober. Hotellet hadde god buffet frokost, men ikke den typiske amerikanske. Hotellets rom var rent, med rene håndkler, og rnt bad. Rommenets standard er så som så, men alt i alt hadde vi et bra opphold! Hotellet likker rett ved en moske, og utenfor moskeen var det en hund som ulte, så om vinduet vender hit så kan dette være et problem. Hotellets ansatte var meget behjelpelige med å bestille rimelig taxi osv.

Budget hotel in great location - but noisy
First night transferred to 7 Arches Hotel which was good. Each night at the Mount of Olives Hotel it was very noisy, dogs barking, traffic noise and a very load Muezzin next door. Breakfast was very middle eastern, tea and coffee available free all day which was good. Very heavy traffic all day and evening as coaches go to view Jerusalem from near the 7 Arches Hotel. The area and road names have changed so don't rely on Them check out on Google Maps what they are if using Sat Nav.

Low Budget Hotel on the Mount of Olives
The hotel is situated on top of the Mount of Olives with a magnificient view of Jerusalem. The hotel is run by Arabs. The staff is friendly and helpful and the beds are clean and comfortable. The rest of the hotel is partly in disrepair. Especially the carpets in the rooms and the hallway were far from beeing clean. But for the price it was offered, it was ok. Please note, that you can't get to the hotel with a sherut from the airport. Either take a private taxi or take a sherut to Damaskus Gate and then walk or take a bus (Line 75) or taxi.

Un accueil sympathique
Le personnel de l'hôtel est sympathique, acceuillant et très à l'écoute; le niveau d'anglais est bon et l'un des gardiens rencontrés parlait même le français. Les chambres sont relativement grandes mais un peu vieillissantes (comme la plomberie), mais des travaux sont en cours, au moins sur une partie de l'hôtel. Dommage néanmoins que ce soit la moquette qui prédomine dans les parties communes et dans les chambres, d'autant qu'elle a déjà bien vécu. La connexion wi-fi fonctionne et est plutôt de qualité. Il y a un bus régulier à proximité qui permet d'aller et de revenir de la vieille ville sans effort jusqu'à 22 heures 30. En revanche, pour les retours de nuit à l'aéroport, il faut aller attendre le sherout à côté de l'hôpital Victoria, car la société ne dessert pas le secteur de l'hôtel le soir et la nuit. L'hôtel est bien situé, il est non loin d'un emplacement qui permet une vue panoramique sur la veille ville ainsi qu'à proximité de plusieurs lieux de cultes agréables à visiter (monastère et église orthodoxes en particulier). Il est aussi tout près d'une mosquée en activité, et c'est un peu moins drôle, dans la mesure où l'on est aux premières loges pour l'appel à la prière la nuit ... et que le chien du voisin a décidé de faire longuement et de façon régulière concurrence au muezzin !

Ok Hotel if your on a budget
Well the hotel isn't to bad wouldn't recommend it for families but ok if you don't mind roughing it a little. The staff are friendly and helpful however the food in the hotel isn't that great but then neither is the food that great anywhere in Jerusalem Old City. The Views from the hotel are very nice however be aware you are in a predominately Palestinian area and the locals weren't always that friendly. Restaurants around the hotel are dirty but a short taxi ride away near Jaffa gate you'll find a lot of nice restaurants and a more tourist friendly atmosphere, about twenty minutes walk. The thing about this hotel you need to keep in mind is if you have mobility problems like I do unless you want to get robed by taxis (who all seemed to be blaggers and thieves) you do have quite a steep climb. The "mount" kind of gives this away I thought there may be a bus but there isn't. Overall the hotel was good but location poor if your not on a budget stay near Jaffa gate!
