I love this hotel - it feels like you’re in the country and not in the middle of the city. Staff are so friendly, and rooms are large and clean. Another great stay!

Weekend at Courtyard Arcadia

Good stay. Everything was as expected and no complaints. Stage 6 load shedding while we were there, but the hotel obviously has back up power as we were not affected. Very convenient location for University of Pretoria as we were dropping our daughter off.

Lovely short-stay at Courtyard Hotel Arcadia

My partner and I were here for 2 days and one night. (Had to be in Pretoria for a meeting monday morning). We arrived early in the morning and spent some time by the pool had a great night sleep then worked from the lounge the following day before heading back home. The staff have been incredibly helpful and attentive! We've enjoyed our stay fully! The Hotel overall is lovely, well looked after. It is however an older hotel so some of the finishings are somewhat dated and could definitely use a bit of maintenance. This shouldn't deter you from having a lovely stay though!

Booked through Expedia with no idea that we would, not only be given a room with steep steps only to find this out after being told by the reception that there were no steps then after the 3rd try a room with twin beds but obviously only set up for one person short glasses, no globe in second bedside light. No rails in to get in and out of the pool. The staff assisting were pleasant helpful but could have done with more training and direction

Fabulous stay in the city, with a country feel!

Our stay at the Arcadia Courtyard was very pleasant. A beautiful historic building, lovingly restored and maintained. Very comfortable beds, good linen, and great pillows! The staff are always extremely courteous, and we will definitely go back to this establishment!

Excellent Base for Budiness Trip

Travelling for business this was the perfect base for a productive trip. Excellent service all round. Had plenty of pleasant areas to work for all weathers. Architecturally makes a nice change from the more modern hotels. The architectural style is extremely well preserved. Would definitely stay again.

Adventures in Africa

Beautiful old style very well kept Dutch mansion with lovely rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The area is close to the US and many other embassies and the Union building and university of Pretoria. And there are several nice restaurants in the area. But it’s in an area too dangerous to walk after dark. They do have Well guarded parking and we felt very safe on the premises.

Quiet, comfy hotel in Pretoria’s Embassy District

Comfortable room with a nice view of the hotel gardens and pool. Our bed was super comfortable, and the little kitchenette was great. We had a slight issue with our room card deactivating, but the staff was really helpful and even checked the door lock for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

I wouldve thought that breakfast was included, but it apparently wasnt, so after 2 cups of coffee and a bowl of cereal it cost us R290 for 2 people which is rather over the top Id say..Our room number was on the list and thus i thought that breakfast was included, rude awakening...

Oasis of refinement and peace

This hotel is ideally located in Pretoria's embassy area. Pretoria does not have much to offer, although the parliament garden (Union Buildings) is one of the must of a travel in South Africa, so, if you are a bit tired of travelling all around the country, why not drop your luggage there and settle for a while? It is an oasis of peace and refinement modeled on the lifestyle of old brits gentleman club (but open minded and ladies welcome!). The kind of hotel we regret not having spend more time in to enjoy all it has to offer.

NIce Hotel in Nice Area

This was a very pleasant hotel in a pleasant area of town. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was fine for an evening or two, and breakfast was excellent.

Lodging in Pretoria

Drivers from the airport know the Courtyard Arcadia in Pretoria. You can get a driver (a little different than a taxi) if you come in too late for the train (about a 30 minute drive), or take the convenient train from the airport to the Hatfield Station (end of line) in Pretoria, then a 5 minute taxi ride. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are large and comfy. It has the feel of an older hotel, with the cleanliness of new. We stayed two nights, went on Safari then came back for two more before flying off to Victoria Falls. BOTH experiences were excellent. OH - and their breakfast is a full serve, how do you want your eggs cooked breakfast! You have to pay for it, but well worth it.

Very comfortable hotel

I had a 5 night stay at the Court Yard, and it was really comfortable, and catered for all my needs during the relatively long stay. The aircon in my room did not work, and I was immediately offered an upgrade to a lovely suite.
